Brilliant!
I had used a friend's Rothenberger torch but that was much older without auto ignition and manually adjustable flame. This one is so much easier to use. I'm tempted to say it's fool proof! You screw on the gas canister, twist the red knob to ON and depress it. You may need to do this once or twice when first connected to the canister. The flame lights on depressing the knob and pressing the little silver button above it holds the red knob open freeing your hands to hold it by the canister with the other hand using the silver solder rod. Brilliant!

Good torch
I went for Rothenberger as it is a well known make unfortunately I had to return the first one as the thread on the torch did not screw onto the rothenburger propane I had bought fortunately Amazon did an exchange for me and the replacement fitted straight on no problems , goes to show even reputable makes can have a bad day , Amazon to its credit replaced the item the next day the torch has no adjustment for the flame but is ideal for what I am using it for .

Rothenberger quality
Excellent piece of kit . Bought to replace old system blow torch . Expensive but worth the money and should last years for occasional work

I am very happy to have bought this Rothenberger tourch
I can't say much about durability since I haven't been using it for long, but it's sturdier than I expected. The flame adjustment also works quite well. Used it to repair a copper pipe. As a layman, I still managed it well, so I'm now attempting further installations. Handling and heat development are very pleasant.

Looks good quality but not adjustable so returned.
Returned item as not adjustable on flame. Went for the more expensive one that allows this.
