Could have been a 5 star
when I first got these I thought wow! , these are really good, they even have an attempt to stop switch bounce by using capacitors and resistors. This works reasonably well and is an improvement on the usual KY-040 that are everywhere. However I would have given it a 5 star if the one I had installed in my project hadn't seized up. It just became hard to turn and the switch was sticking, this was just after a few days of use. I won't return them as I can fix the one that is faulty. It is a pity you can't return just one item when you buy 5.

Not complete and wrong colour knob
These don't come with the mounting nut and washer.Mine also came with red indicator marker knobs, not the blue in the photo.Otherwise, they look and feel much the same as other rotary encoders available here on Amazon.
