Fantastic book. Great story. Beautiful and vibrant pictures. Not too many pages and the story is one sentence so it kept my toddler engaged. Her attention span is short so long storylines will start to lose her focus. Hardback and as described. Great read

My 5year old grandson could relate to this book. Thank you to the author and the illustrator for making this book. The front of the book with the little boy that's laying down and said, look, that's my color then he looked at the little girl with the Yellow T-shirt on and said, there's parts of her and that's my color then we opened the book and there was a little boy in there, and he said, look, La Nonna, you won't believe it. That's my color. He was so happy to see himself or see someone that looks like him in his color thank you again to the author and the illustrator for this phenomenal book, please continue to make more.

Great addition to start a collection!

This book is amazing! I purchased it after hearing some comments from my kindergarden aged Little Brown Boy about the color of his skin and his hair texture. Wanted to nib that in the bud very quickly. I was looking for something subtle but that would unequivocally get the message across. This book delivered! The wording addresses the beauty in all the colors seen in nature mixing praises about the beauty in various shades of brown. The pictures are vibrant showing little brown children in different shades of brown (including a child with vitiligo), playing, exploring nature and enjoying their day and lives as children. I also love books in rhyme for my little ones and this provided a pleasant rhythmic read. It has been very effective in conveying the point I wanted my child to pick up. It's also a favorite for my toddler who equally enjoys this book. I think it's not only a good book for brown kids but also a nice one to help teach children who are not black or brown to appreciate the beauty of others. It would be a comfortable read for parents/educators of any race. I highly recommend this book. Buy it, you won't regret.

This book is a new family favorite for my 21 month old baby. The writing, the pictures, the love for your brown skin. This will be a book I gift every child for the near future. So glad I bought this book. My daughter loves it. And so do I.
