Easy to use and effective
So I suffer with the dreaded black fly in my house plants and although I manage levels using sticky traps, sometimes a little more is needed to really kill them off.I bottom water my plants, I have a layer of grit on my plants and do everything else that I should but I find this really is the best way to heavily reduce numbers. It doesnât look like much when it turns up, some sticky powder in a plastic dish that is hard to believe is alive in anyway but you keep it the fridge as soon as it arrives until you use it. The recommendation is to use it quite soon after purchase so make sure that you donât buy it just to stick in the cupboard until you need it. Only purchase it if you are planning on treating Immediately. This particular one actually treated a lot of different bugs, but I wanted something that treated blackfly (sciarid flies). To start with you have to dissolve in a large quantity of water so I just used an old bucket and a Pyrex jug to measure out the required amount of water. I then took the lid off and put the packaging inside the water and swirled around until it dissipated. Then you would add half a litre of the nematode mix to a watering can full of water and then treat your plants. It sounds more complicated than it is and once youâve made your mix, you just need 1 jug of mix to I think it was 9 jugs of water. Once I worked out where I needed to fill it to, I drew a line on the watering can and filled it to that point every time which made it much easier than measuring the water. Then using a watering can and a coarse rose, I saturated my plants from the top making sure that the soil and earth was well saturated and covered. I repeated the mixing process until all of my house plants were suitably saturated. I then personally left them for 10â15 minutes for that to work through the soil and then went back and applied a second dose to make sure that it really permeated through all of the soil. Some of my plants were very big; my Monstera for example is in a pot large enough that an entire watering can did not make it all the way through and out of the bottom so I carried on watering until I saw the water come out the bottom of all of my pots and ensured they were fully saturated.Once they had dried out a bit, I moved them back in the house and then complimented the treatment with a few yellow sticky traps to catch any established flies that were impervious to the nematode mix.Itâs important to realise that the nematode mix attacks the larvae in the soil so wonât affect any flies have already started fly and there is no guarantee that treatment will get rid of all of them. The pack actually recommend treating 2 weeks later and I would presume that regular treatments would be the only way to keep them completely at bay as well as isolating and treating any new plants that you bring into the property. I notice the flies in my conservatory where Iâve got 7 house plants; the plants in the rest of the property donât seem to have any blackfly, but I still treat them anyway.Itâs also worth noting that you need to stir your mix in the bucket every time before you add to the watering can as it does settle to the bottom. So I made sure to give a thorough stir watering can I made and would scoop from the bottom to make sure that I captured plenty of the mixture. For me itâs really simple to use, the instructions are easy to follow and itâs easy to apply. I think the performance is very good but it is worth understanding that you need to do maintenance treatments and also supplement with sticky traps. It isnât a case of one treatment gets rid of them all and you do need to keep up with regular treatments and bottom watering your plants really does reduce the wet soil on top that they like to breed in

Got rid of most fungus gnats
So this packet makes a lot of treatment. The instructions are very tiny on the box . I think it was something like add the packet to 5l of water divide that into 5 parts and add 4l of water to each part ?? Something like that so it made 25l . I didnât need that much for my house plants so I used half the contents in a bowl of water that I kept stiring and topping up with water as I used it. I had to do about 60 plants . About 10 days later I repeated this with the other half packet. Most of the fungus gnats are gone, nearly all infact . I would have preferred doing this in the warmer months as my plants didnât appreciate that much watering in the colder weather . I have learnt to bottom water the plants as the fungus gnats like the damp soil at the top of the pot so hopefully that will help greatly. The packet has a short shelf life with a use by date and needs to be stored in the fridge. I wasnât sure if I was doing the right thing by saving half for later but it was more than I needed I and I hoped it might kill off any stragglers. Over all I am pleased with the results.

Remarkable - immediate result
Like so many, we've been battling fungus gnats (sciarid flies) for week, with no luck, despite the plant soil being so dry I think some of the plants have died. It's simple enough to mix and apply, like others I ended up with more than I could use, but better that than not having enough.I applied to all the plants this morning, and having splatted the few remaining gnats over the following hour or so, have seen none since. Looks like we'll be able to watch TV in peace tonight, for the first time in ages. Will repeat in 2 weeks, just to be sure. Can't recommend highly enough, incredible result.

You can't see what's going on under the soil.
The fruit bushes look nice and lush, no visible pests on the leaves, so far so good, easy to use toođđ

Fantastic
Fantastic. My monstera was attacked by fungus gnats. I purchased this product and the gnats were gone within 24 hours. I amdoing a second application 1 month later just to ensure all the gnats larve has gone. I also used the yellow sticky traps which were effective in catching the gnatsHighly recommend.

Natural pest control
I am a huge house plant lover & consequently have a lot of plants all over the house. I heard about the nematodes on a plant group, it seems lots of us suffer with fungus gnats, so I bought these on a whim.Easy to follow instructions, just keep in the fridge until you need them, mix with water & water your plants as normal.Be aware, only order when youâre ready to use them as they donât have a long âshelfâ life.

Cleared the pests - but there is a lot
We have an indoor plant (think it's a weeping fig). We had tiny flies everywhere. Usually trying to crawl up our noses! Sticky pads were covered with hundreds of dead flies but still an issue. Within a week of using this, all gone!It makes a LOT and we only needed it for one plant! Used it on others and outdoor ones so not to waste and still had loads left. So a bit overkill but it does work.

Look no further!
These are brilliant! If you are looking to get rid of those annoying fungus gnats look no further!I've tried allsorts and was about to give up on houseplants. This wiped them all out within a week! Didn't harm my plants either so that's great! The use by date isn't long so be sure you're going to use the stuff soon. You also get LOADS of mixture at the end so I actually halfed my product the first time and then repeated the process again a week later, halfing the measurements again. The instructions were a little complicated, I don't think I followed to the exact measurements but it still worked.
