Very soft cashmere and is exactly like the photo. Very easy to crochet with. I’ve ordered more!

I am into knitting and crocheting these days so I bought this yarn for my sweater. It’s soft and easy to work with

This is very workable at first, then the strands separate and it becomes apparent that the 3-ply wasn’t twisted together well enough. It knits more like when you combine fine strands from multiple balls than like a normal yarn. You can see how the strands separate in the 1st photo. The poor twist makes it very easy to split the yarn as you transition between knit & purl. It is also not nearly as soft as I expected. Softness, I would give it a 4 of 5. Softer than wool, but not as soft as the 100% cashmere sweaters I have purchased. Once knitted up (size 4 needles) it has a look more similar to superwash merino than cashmere. (2nd photo). Given the price, it’s fine, but as I start into the 5th ball on this blanket, the split strands are getting annoying. I had planned to make the coordinating sweater, but I don’t think I have the patience to deal with this yarn for a second project. UPDATE: Now that the blanket is finished, hand washed (cashmere/gentle soap), blocked & dried flat … I have to say I’m disappointed in the texture. Despite the manufacturer’s statement that the yarn will get softer with washing, it simply isn’t as soft as other cashmere yarns I have worked with. Frustrating to have put so much time & energy into a baby blanket and have the finished item not very soft/cuddly. After washing, I’d give the softness a 3 out of 5. I’m currently working on a baby hat with a cashmere/merino blend that is significantly softer.
