Update: Year two and pump has been a solid pump. Very strong pump. I had a name brand pump that went and I redid my entire pool setup and replaced my expensive pump with this one thinking if I just get a year out of it I’ll buy a new one every year or two and still be cheaper than buying a big name one. So far it’s great. Good suction, good noise, and so much easier to access the basket. A plus.

Above ground pool for grandkids. It's twice the pump of the original.Keep in mind that although the pump has npt (national pipe thread), it may be taxing to couple to a Chinese fitting.

It has taken longer to install than I thought. The electrical cord was to short and had to be replaced. There was no plumbing instructions, had to go on line to find out how to use the parts that were furnished. I then could not get them to work right, threads on intake were striped. The new pump did not match the height of my old pump so both intake and exhaust had to be replumbed.. It moves the water after I completed all of the repairs that I had not thought of. I may have considered other makes.Lacks any " Warranty" information.

Took 5 minutes to replace because everything was same size and alignment

Bought the pump end of May. None of the fittings actually match up with your pool plumbing so they are basically useless. I went back and forth to the hardware store quite a bit until getting the right combination of PVC parts to make it work. My original pump was a Hayward and I really didn't want to spend the kind of money I spent on the last one but it lasted me 10 years. This pump lasted less than 3 months after I finally installed it in June. So end of August I come home and hear the thing laboring. I find water all over my pool deck area. I look at the pump and there is a heavy leak coming from where the electric motor meets the plastic and and the water is pouring out. I immediately shut off the pump as I am afraid of electric shock.September 1st I get on amazon and look for the order to request replacement. They do not answer me back. After several days I ask again. They respond asking for pictures and video. At this point there is no water coming through the pump because there is too much air in the system. I tell them this and that I am worried that no water running through my pool with cause it to turn to algae. I explain that amazon does not allow me to send video so they send me an email address. I email them and a few days later they say that from the video of the pump running with no water they can tell it's the impeller and send me a youtube video. They say they will send me parts. I tell them I am not a pool pump repair person and I dont think this is a fair remedy. They do not respond for a few days. I send them another message asking that they replace the pump. They continue to delay me and ask again if they can just send the parts. This things is supposed to have a 2 year warranty and they say in their Amazon ad that satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. Amazon will not help because I purchased it over 90 days ago.I continue to email them telling them my pool is looking bad with no water moving through it. I ask again for a remedy. They respond days later again and say "will you accept the impeller and seal?" I said doesn't this voice my 2 year warranty that is stated in the listing on Amazon? They do not reply. I ask again days later and still no reply. I tell them I have waiting to leave feedback and I would rather not leave negative feedback and still no reply. This thing is cheap for a reason. They do not care about anything but your money. Look at my pool after a month of no action and delays. I will take it up with Amazon again. Save yourself time money and headaches...
