I didn’t have any taking issues when I first dyed it a few months ago. Bleached my hair to about an 8, toned, then used the dye and it seemed extremely pigmented and very bright. Not darker like the picture though, was giving more Hatsune Miku than what the picture showed. Could have been the bleach and toner used beforehand maybe. It’s grown on me and may redo a few more times. Stains pretty bad but nothing I haven’t seen before with other brands. I did try and touch up my roots no bleaching first recently, and it didn’t take much at all. Will try one more time with the new batch I got. If it doesn’t work will just go to another brand. The color though, pretty, getting compliments on it. It really is vibrant even though it’s faded some. Feels like it has some decent staying power. Edit: This is a month or two after my review. The roots took this time. I left it on way longer and also hit it with some heat. Redid all of it in fact. If I don’t wash it much it stays much longer. Usually I’d wash it 3 -4 times a week but now I’m washing it maybe once or twice and it’s still so vibrant. Makes me wonder if the previous batch was old or something. The newer one arrived in a new package also. I’m changing it to 5 stars. Also if you’re a thick haired girl just get and use 2 at a time trust. <3 Review: Great lasting semi permanent red - Thai has been by far the best and lastest longing Mei permanent red I've used and I've about tried all the trendy and popular brands and even a few off ones. This color starts out pretty dark almost a blood aurburn but after 2 washes it's a deep cranberry red and as it fades becomes a blood red. It's so pretty at each stage of the washing and is fading and I really recommend for anyone who wants a deep red burgundy color. It does stain your hands and your pillow, and please do yourself a favor and wash in the sink the first few times with gloves because it will stay on your hands fora few days. Also if you sweat it can leave a little stain on the side of the face but if you use a little conditioner around those areas it helps a lot and does come off after a little scrubbing.

Great lasting semi permanent red

Works great on dark hair!
I was a little worried the green wouldn’t really show up on my dark brown hair, but I was gladly proven wrong! It’s the exact color I was looking for (a dark green that blends well with my natural hair color). Many other reviews helped me pick this product with their praise of it so I’m glad to say it’s deserving. I left it in for an hour instead of the recommended 30 minutes (as per what others suggested) and it came out great, no need for a second round of dye. It also washes off of skin pretty decently (with a good amount of scrubbing). The dye on the skin comes off fully after 1-2 showers. Would recommend!!

Excellent pigment and staying power!
Just tried this for the first time and this is the most PURPLE purple I've ever used, and it also has staying power! At a month in it's still holding strong. It is a more blue toned purple, and the only real change is that a month in it is a little less blue toned in the light but still pigmented purple. I wash once or twice a week in cold water with biotera color Ulta shampoo and conditioner. I never did purples often because they fade so fast, usually within a week, but this is a game changer. Does not bleed or stain things! Color comes out a little when shampooing and then water runs clear again. ❤️

Great when used as a toner
I saw a review of the Smokey Purple better being used for a shadow root and that was exactly what I was looking for. For context: I have two-toned hair with blonde panels in the front and underneath, and a grown out balayage on the darker panels with my natural dark brown growing out, so a lot going on in terms of levels of bleach and color in my hair. My stylist put a peachy rose gold on my hair after my last root touch up on the blonde panels which faded quickly into a brassy color I couldn’t tone out with any shampoo or conditioner, plus I had washed out pink on the ends so it was making the brassy roots look even brassier in comparison. So I was looking for a muted purple to put on my roots to help with that and this did the trick! I put it on my blonde panel roots and my dark panel balayage ends. When I washed out the root shadow worked and actually toned my blonde panels to a dark smokey silver with a touch of lavender as well, which looks kinda cool so I’m into it. The darker ends just got cooled down a little and darkened, which also looks cool and adds to the dimension. Taking off a star because I wish it was just a tad more pigmented. It has more vibes of a strong toner than a pigmented color, and would be perfect for creating a dark silvery look if you’re trying for that.

Oh this is going to be controversial, sorry IA
Alright so, I am a quick shopper even online, I’ll check reviews and pictures and maybe check out a YouTube video to see a better view of the color. I however didn’t notice it was vegan, I tend to avoid vegan products because simply I have not found any that meet my expectations for what I need or expect. I understand if it’s a lifestyle/ethical choice, more power to you, live your truth: but me personally, this brand now added to the list along with arctic fox are thumbs down for me. Arctic fox bleeds non stop everywhere, seems to permanently dye anything but your hair, and washes out in about 3 washes. Now with this product Pros: -it did not stain my skin, that was cool -it’s pretty thick so I did not make any kind of mess apply it, again cool -if you want like a fun little change for about a week, this is perfect because it washes out quick. -it didn’t bleed onto my clothes or bedding, or skin when washing my hair But that’s where the pros end Cons: - I couldn’t grip the seal so I used a safety pin to help me get an end up, some of the product came out on the safety pin and I saw even though it was thick, for hair color it’s fairly translucent. Red flag if you are experienced in regularly dying your hair 😩 if you want a lighter version or very temporary color it would be ideal, but for vibrance and hang time NOPE. -just when I rinsed it out, COLD WATER, and used no shampoo I could tell it was going to wash out quick, and I was right, it lasted about 3 washes total, pretty much gone after the 2nd wash honestly. My hair is not over processed or anything that would contribute to loss of color at that rate. I even use baby shampoo since it’s no harsh chemicals and honestly has helped preserve my colors better than any “color saving” products on the market. Another thing I didn’t favor was it didn’t stick to my freshly bleached roots. Again experienced hair artists know that usually will be the brightest spot, as well as bleaching helping seal color in if you do it correctly in a time period. So PRETTY MUCH if you want something temporary, or you’re wanting to test drive a color but not ready to commit; this is perfect. However if you’re looking for something that is long lasting, this is not it. May be a basic bih but I’ve been doing this for 17 years and have tried dozens of dye products and ion color brilliance I personally don’t feel can be beat. Extremely vibrant color, very minimal bleeding/transfer after coloring and even that just depends on the color, you may not get any bleeding or transfer at all. It also lasts a long time, as well as fades evenly so you won’t have splotchy hair as it fades, you’ll just go through lighter shades of Itself.

such a good shade of green
beautiful color!! I got the color juniper and it came out great on the bleached parts of my hair. brighter than the pics online and didn’t do much over my natural hair, but my hair doesn’t take dye easily so not sure if that would be the same for everyone

Beautiful Red ♥️
The picture does not give it justice. I originally dyed my hair with HiColor Red and it came out too bright for my liking. I found Lunar Tides-Blood Moon on TikTok and loved how it was shown. This red is a little “darker”, I wanted more of a red the same as blood (if that makes sense). The formula wasn’t too thick and smelled good. Super easy to apply. My new red! ♥️🙂↕️
