Lattafa Pride Ansaam Gold – Fruity, Floral, Sweet, Musky – Eau de Parfum Spray Long-Lasting Fragrance for Unisex, 3.4 Ounce / 100 ml

As someone who LOATHES vanilla and gourmand fragrances, OMG this beauty is now my signature scent. (Previously BR540). The vanilla is very subtle but out the box I loved her, she is loud, bold, and oh so pretty. The bottle is top notch quality and the presentation is amazingggg!!! Don't second guess yourself out a beauty for months like I did. GET HERRRRR you won't regret it. To give an idea of my fragrance taste, I love Orientica Amber Rouge, Al haramain Amber Oud, Lattafa Afeef, Lattafa Emaan, Maison alhambra Delilah, and Lattafa Habik just to name a few. Oh and she lasts for hours, I smell myself every time I move and I love it. So far I'm on hour 7 and she is still loud.

After I received this perfume, and sprayed it, I instantly purchased a second bottle. It really does smell that good! It's soft, sweet, vanilla, florals....just dainty goodness. It last more than 6 hrs as well. It reminds me of the old school perfumes from my childhood. That's a good thing. Smells expensive. The price is wonderful. If they made this in an elixir form, I would repurchase for life.

So let me preface this by saying that I have GONE THROUGH IT when it comes to blind buying perfumes online, definitely some GOOD hits but LOTS of misses lol! I rely on the reviews from Amazon buyers and watch lots of videos on Tik Tok and Youtube to get an idea of what the perfume might smell like and let me just say, anyone who said this perfume smelled good ... was definitely right! Now I get certain notes might not be for everyone, I consider myself a "gourmand girlie" I like for my scents to smell sweet and edible and like vanilla but this perfume intrigues me in a weird (but good!) way. Let's start off with the packaging .. absolutely solid and so beautifully made! 10/10 Now lets get into the scent: When I spray it I definitely get sweet but not overpowering and floral but not ROSEY. One of the top notes is stated as being Mandarin and I definitely smell that but I wouldn't go so far as to say its overly citrusy because the vanilla and musk prevent it from being so. If I can describe it in words I'd call it an Orange Creamsicle, its soft and creamy. It's so not what I'm used to but I absolutely adore it, I love pairing it with EOS 24 Hr Moisture Body Lotion in Vanilla Cashmere. It's such a fun, girly, feminine perfume. In terms of longevity, I think it holds up well for what it is. When sprayed on clothes I definitely smell it up until the next day. Compliments: I've gotten several compliments while wearing this perfume but twice while I was at the gym SWEATING! I was in the locker room and a woman stopped me dead in my tracks to ask me what I had on, she said it smelled a lot like Lychee to her and I thought that was so interesting! Another time a member at the gym came up to me and said "You smell like a superstar, you smell like Barbie!" and listen, I don't know what that means but i'll take it LOL! This review is entirely too long but I'll say that a lot of the reviews have mentioned that this perfume smells like Love Don't Be Shy by Killian and Oriana and I'd say it has a similar DNA, I did a lot of research on affordable dupes and stumbled upon Lattafa's Ansaam Gold but prior to choosing this one I ordered Dossier's Floral Marshmallow because it was stated as also being a dupe but immediately ended up returning it because I could not get with the smell at all! If you're like me stuck between two choices, I promise Ansaam Gold is the right choice :)

If you want a sweet scent, this might work. If you are looking for a "bakery sweet" scent, be careful. This is going to need some time in perfume jail to get there. This is described here as being "floral" & it has some floral notes (I get the rose note), but that's way underneath the candy-sweet scent. As usual with every Lattafa I have so far, this needs time to ripen. Brand new, the candy notes just screeches at you over everything else. It gave me cherry cough medicine vibes & I hated it. It came across like a perfume for kiddies. However, after the first few days, it is already starting to come together. It's still candy-sweet (think of those syrupy gummies that stick to your teeth), but some of the citrus and raspberry start to come through. On the dry down, I get some of the calming and grown-up powder. Knowing Lattafa as I do, I'm going to continue letting this get its act together and try it again in about 2 weeks. I expect the magic that always happens. Already, the vanilla comes out a bit on the dry down. By the way, the bottle is nice enough as is the box. Neither are as dramatic as some other Lattafa designs. The gold stands out nicely against the red. The top looks like what Poirot or some other fancy gentleman would have on his walking stick. There is a booklet included that shows other fragrances in the collection & listing notes and accords.

I love, love, love this scent. This was a recommendation of one of the fragrance influencers and I am just going fown the list so that I am caught up. Also, I am fairly new to this and figuring out which fragrances and which notes in the fragrances I like the most. This was a blind buy for me but I am not disappointed at all. I will say that this fragrances is a bit daring. There may be things I like about this that others won't. I do feel this fragrances is a little more on the mature side. It's not extremely fruity or floral. The bottle, box/packaging are all very good quality, especially for the price. Inwould recommend this one for sure. I own about 50 bittles of perfume now and this is top 5 for now.

Update: 12/12/25: this has macerated since i purchased it. It smells SO different from the first time I smelled this, i would no longer consider this a red door replica. The fragrance has mellowed out. Its become a fragrance worthy of purchase. Still not my cup of tea, still very Rosy but I can now see how this is a French perfumery inspired fragrance. I could visualize catching a scent of this in the wind on a street in Paris. Marshmallow over fresh floral would be consistent. Not creamy, not musky, not woody, but marshmallow-powdery-sweetness over florals(particularly rose). 3/5 stars for a stunning bottle, its gorgeous, and the morphing of the fragrance. It smells classy without being in your face yet there is good sillage and decent projection with minimal sprays. I cannot do any higher because this fragrance started to gag me after 2 sprays. At spray 3 the other notes started to be drowned out by the rose again and its been a couple weeks. Original review: Mad I have to rate it ANY stars. It smells like my grandma's rose perfume from the 90's. Just terrible. Now I can't get the smell out of my nose. There's no maturing that could help drown this Rose. This is an EXACT replica of a perfume called Red Door by Elizabeth Arden. Im not sure what those other perfumes are that there are claims that this smells like but, stop by Macy's and smell red Door (if they still carry it) and you will know what this smells like.

Love the sent beautifully designed bottle definitely looks high end. Totally recommended sent lasts about 5-6 hours. For the price I definitely recommend. The sent profile is soft, floral powdery great for everyday great for office. This doesn’t project in a room but you can smell at an arms distance which is how I love my sents so if you’re looking for a perfume to fill a room this is not it it’s more subtle.

This was an excellent blind buy!! It's a sweet, floral scent that is can be worn daily. It's a light, captivating fragrance that I highly recommend and you can not beat the price for this high quality fragrance. The bottle design is pretty and easy to hold.
