Nite Ize S-Biner Micro Lock Mini Stainless Steel Carabiner, Pack of 2

I use these as an alternative for split rings for my dog’s collar tag. When I want to remove the tag to stop it catching on stuff or swap it to another collar or harness, the split ring inevitably gets loose and misshapen, or scratches the tag itself. These carabiners are a great alternative as they are strong, secire and easily changed. They have been in use for a good while and not had any problems with the locking mechanism.

We bought this to securely attach a dog i.d. to a harness. It works, and it’s strong.

Perfect size to replace those traditional circular key ring loops but making it easy to quickly remove keys with the twist of a lever.I have a utility keyring with a range of different tools; mini Swiss Army knife, laser pointer, fire peanut, money stash, nail clippers.... Using these little carabiners makes it easy to isolate the tool I need from the rest of the bunch,Although the locking levers are plastic, they're small and sturdy enough not to break off with ease. That was my main concern with these but I'm satisfied with them. Just don't forget to lock them once you've done!UPDATE: December 2014: These remain excellent additions to my keyring. On one, I have my mini Swiss Army knife- the quick release mechanism of the carabiner remains as sturdy as when it was new, despite my removing my penknife daily. They lock with satisfaction and I don't doubt they'll last at least another year, probably longer.

These are really quite small, but perfect for clipping extra keys on/off a key ring. Quality seems pretty good, plus they’re lockable. I’m not entirely convinced the locking mechanism is necessary, but it provides a little peace of mind I suppose. All in all very pleased

A handy little clip for some one who needs secure keys that have to be transferred a lot. I have a bunch of keys for work that I frequently transfer from various clothing: overalls, jackets, winter jackets. I also lend my keys to people often. This handy little clip system makes it very easy without worrying about the inherent issues of a standard karabiner clip (unclipping them selves or catching and not shutting correctly). It also removes the annoyance of constantly removing from a key ring and the fatigue this can cause to the loop. I use 4 of these for various things: keys, torch, pass card and multi tool. Strong and corrosion resistant.I could t believe how small yet strong they were, no bigger than 2 x 1p pieces.I also purchased some spares for car keys.Really recommend these handy key rings

For the price I was not expecting much but pleased with the quality, much better than expected. The lock mechanism is a little finicky due to size and stiff however would secure keys etc easy enough and not have to use it.

These micro locks are very good but need uneasy pressure to lock and unlock them. Having said that this probably good by making it hard if outsider tries to unlock my bag. So some kind of deterrent. Otherwise very well made and useful. I recommend it.

Use these on my keys instead of O rings. Very easy to use and makes removing a key simple when required. Have had no issues with them unlocking or keys getting lost.
