I’ll be putting this through the ultimate torture test. A few of the guys on the crew have a cheap $15 one. I’ll see which one lasts longer. It held up really well through its first 14 days of wildfire. I’ll update after this season is finished

I recently purchased the Dalstrong Hori Hori Blade and have been extremely impressed with its performance. As a gardener in Texas, I have to deal with the challenging Houston Clay soil, but this tool has made it so much easier to manage weeds and other gardening tasks. The double-edged blade is sharp and durable, and the measurements along the blade make it easy to calculate planting depth. The handle is also very comfortable to hold and easy to clean. Overall, I highly recommend the Dalstrong Hori Hori Blade to any gardener looking for a versatile and high-quality tool.

Ok. This thing is absolutely great. The handle feels awesome in the hand. The handle is flush with the full metal tang. It is strong and a hefty tool for sure. The serrated edge is sharp. This again is a great Hori Hori. I expect nothing more from Dalstrong. Packaging is fantastic. The sheath is great but could use some improvements. I hope Dalstrong reads this because they could improve upon this great Hori Hori and evolve it into a STELLAR hori hori. Suggestions *A hole in the handle should be available to attach a paracord lanyard to aid in keeping the hori hori secure in the hand. *the full metal tang should extend beyond the handle scales to allow one to attach the above lanyard instead of a hole drilled through the handle. The extension of the tang allows one to break up things without using the blade. *Sturdy but could be better. The blade of the hori hori should be about 1/4 inch in thickness ensuring the most stable hori hori out there. This is to elevate this hori hori above all the rest. Suitable for the toughest of work. *I do a lot of bushcrafting which means foraging in the woods. Another avenue instead of from garden to kitchen this would be from the woods to kitchen. Meaning the purpose of a 1/4" blade. Don't forget this hori hori would be ideal for the purposes of the camp kitchen. *the sheath is great. Well thought out. For the cost paid for the hori hori the sheath could atleast be double stitched. Furthermore, heavier stock needs to definitely be used for the belt loop attachment. I do not see this lasting long on a belt. The use of a thick good leather would of been better or with an addition of a leather dangler from the sheath. Maybe Dalstrong could come up with a bushcraft/camping kitchen tool series. That would be fantastic.

My wife absolutely loves hori hori knifes for planting her flowers. It's a scoop that is narrow enough to get plants out of smaller pots, and the knife is there to cut through the landscaping fabric. We bought other cheap ones before that broke. The blade broke on one and the handle broke on another. So I decided to pay the extra cost and get a quality one. I wish I would have just done that to begin with. This is definitely a high quality product that has gotten a lot of use this spring and summer. I've known about Dalstrong kitchen knives and this hori hori knife meets that level. If you're going to buy a cheaper hori hori knife realize that you may end up needing to get another one because that one broke. Seriously you should just consider buying this one.

This knife is a must have for gardening! It’s well made and the thick German steel allows you to dig in just about any type of soil. The sharp blade edge and serrated edge cut through roots with ease. I like to use it for removing the root ball of stubborn weeds.

I do a lot of gardening and was searching for a tool that would withstand some abuse in the yard; this tool is definitely the one! It is extremely well made and sturdy. I am not worried about it bending or breaking in the hard clay soil at all. I definitely recommend this purchase.

The perfect gardening tool doesn’t exis……wait. This Hori Hori blade is a perfect do it all tool for the garden. Digging, planting bulbs, jack through roots….I am sure this will do it all. Sturdy and well-built with the perfect carrying case. Too bad it’s winter in Wisconsin right now!

I bought this for my son. He is going to collage for horticulture so I wanted him to have something that will last a very long time.

As a gardener, I must say that this tool has been a very pleasant surprise. The quality, modified blade for digging, cutting, and measuring is everything expected in a hori hori knife. The blade is well balanced with a very comfortable handle and grip. The overall design and construction achieve the desired functionality of a hori knife while imparting a much appreciated subtle beauty very pleasing to the eye. This elegant garden tool is worth the price and is a pleasure to own.

You can see the pride and quality DALSTRONG has when you receive the box. The Hori Hori blade is of premium quality Very good ergonomic and feel. Definitely would recommend. I will only be using it this coming summer, so will try to update my review at the time.

Feels high quality and comfortable, although slightly heaver than it looks. Performed well for planting a few bulbs around the yard, but the blade snapped off while harvesting garlic from my garden. Would have been 5-stars if not for the steel failure.

Had mine break on me from a manufacturer defect. Customer service was very quick with sending a replacement.
