Sheaffer Pop Star Wars R2-D2 Gel Rollerball Pen with Chrome Trim

Excellent product, high quality and beautiful

I love this pen, I love it so much I have purchased two other pens from the Star Wars series. I also have the Darth Maul and Death Star. The write great, look great, the ink last a long time which is a good thing because the only negative to these pens is refills are not cheap. The pen is plastic, I did not expect much more for the price. Be sure you are buying the rollerball pen and not the fountain pen. The fountain pen is total garbage! I bought one and it would never write, I ended up returning it.

This pen from the Sheaffer Star Wars Collection is the perfect rollerball gel pen. It is wide and easy to control, while the ink flows very smoothly. The ink cartridge is also replaceable. The entire Star Wars Collection has sold out on the Sheaffer website, so I considered this a find!

I'm a fan of fountain pens, not the expensive ones (nothing above $100 bucks) but, the day to day pens. I specifically go for German or Japanese pens (Kaweco, Lamy, Pilot, Platinum, etc.) however, I was curious about this pen for the fun Star Wars design. I really like how this pen feels in my hand (even though is mostly plastic) for the price point and it writes great, very reliable. I didn't give it a five-star review because it uses proprietary cartridges and it doesn't come with a refillable cartridge or a converter. I believe that a converter is available to buy separately. In conclusion; it is a pleasing pen and it would have been perfect had the manufacturer included a converter.

I got this to replace the same item that I had purchased from an office supply big box store. That was my introduction to fountain pens and I was trying to improve my handwriting. My problem is griping the pen too tightly and pressing down to hard. I eventually wore out the first one to where the nib section is a little loose in the body. I am much better in my handwriting now and the new one is doing well. The medium nib is wet and works great with shimmering inks. It does not come with an ink converter, but you can purchase that separately if you want to use it. Cartridges are easily available at the big box office supply stores.

yeah it's plastic, but you know what you're buying......a cool star wars fountain pen. And it writes extremely well, on par with some more expensive pens I own
