I was finally diagnosed with SAD a few years ago, after suffering for a long time. In summer I leap out of bed, but every winter I gain 20 lbs and can't wake up. This replaces an old 10k lux light, and this is even better. Both the brightness and color tone are adjustable. I find the bluest light at low level works best for me. I set the timer for 45 min, and if it's a cold, dark, snowy day, I may use another 20 minutes while I'm sitting up with a cup of coffee. Lights therapy really works well for me, and I love that that there are various controls. It's ultralight, can be a table stand or hang it (I attach it to my metal headboard). I would definitely buy again.

When I was taking this LED lamp out of the box I was a little worried because it didn’t seem like it had much to it. However, I was very surprised to find that it had a lot more to it. It is light weighted but the base is heavier and that makes it stable. It is easy to turn on and off with a touch of a finger. Speaking of touch of a finger, it is dimmable by sliding your finger and there are several levels of dimness. You can direct the light in any direction. The light can be swiveled from side to side or the whole arm can be moved up. There is a long electrical cord and there is a port in the back of it to charge a device. It does not take up a lot of space on a small table. I am giving this lamp a five star because I could not find anything wrong with it. It is everything and more than expected.

The Y-axis is not to scale.I haven't attempted to quantify the total light output or light intensity, but I believe it's roughly 10,000 lux at about 5 inches and 15,000 lux at 2 inches.If left on for a long time at a bright setting, the PCB becomes hot and the touch controls become unresponsive. Otherwise, a good LED and serves its purpose.

So overall the brightness and versatility of this lamp was amazing, it has multiple selections of brightness you can choose from and you can either make them super bright or duller depending on what you're using it for, I was just using it for my pet spiders, the lamp doesn't give off a lot of heat either, if you make it super bright it does became a bit warm to the hand but I never leave it on max brightness so I don't foresee that being a huge issue. The only thing I found a bit annoying was the range of motion, yes you can move it in different ranges BUT its very difficult to move it as the arm itself is firm in place, for example if you needed to move the arm more up or down you have to usually use a good amount of force and also you have to hold down the item from its base to prevent from picking it up. A design flaw in my opinion was also the USB port is actually in the back of the arm, so if you move the arm in a different range, the USB/whatever its connected to it moves with it which may cause issues for some. I am happy with the product overall as it services it purpose but slight improvements could be made which is why I'm giving my feedback/review. P.S. the touch pad works great, didn't have any issue with that either.

Sturdy, easy to use, and versatile, I love it!

This light is wonderful. I purchased it so I could have more light when I read books. It can be really bright or really soft. I can charge my phone while I read and I can angle the light in any direction I need for reading. The various colors allow me to choose between daylight and soft light. It does not have a battery for charging but that was not needed. The light is not meant to be portable even though it can be. It folds up for travel. I would say this light is worth the money and I would buy it again. In fact I may get a few more so I don't have to move it around from room to room when I read.

I got the 15,000 Lux. It has 3 buttons on the front. One to turn on the light that also cycles through 3 shades. One button that cycles through 4 levels of lux. Third button cycles through 5 dots on the front that light up blue each time you press it, it goes to next time (on, 15, 30, 45, 60) .One end of the C adapter fits at a angle in the right lower back side of the light.. The USB end goes into an adapter (included) to plug into an outlet. The light is sturdy and seems to be heavier at the base.I have the light on my makeup table and able to be within 20 inches of the light (don't stare at the light) while I am putting on makeup and doing my hair in the morning. I use the light to help wake me up in the morning - sitting in front of the light within 30 minutes of getting up for 20-30 minutes.

According to the manual, this is 10,000 lux at 10cm (no where does it specify 15,000).

Grey days really affect me negatively. I do not want to not have good days. This light provides what a grey day cannot and I am certainly feeling better than I was. It was an excellent choice for me.

Great value for money. I plug it in when I get up and leave it on all day wherever I am sitting, until late afternoon. The unit does not heat up at all like so many other products do which is always worrying. The cord/adaptor plugs into the bottom right side of the unit--nothing wrong with this, of course, but would be great if it could plug in on both right and left sides. Unlike the earlier version of this product, this one can only be set up in portrait mode, the back base does not swivel to enable you to stand it up in landscape. I'm happy with the product and I use it every day. Cheers!
