Great shaver - worth the extra money
I have owned 2 or 3 Philips Coolskin shavers previously. The last needed replacing as the battery would not hold its charge. After lots of research I bought the most expensive wet razor from Philips. It is the best that I have owned so far. the shave is the closest I have had with an electric (and probably a wet) razorI have experimented with what to put on my face first. The K-series Alpha oil is a waste of money.I cannot tell the difference between Nivea Extreme Comfort Gel and Nivea Sensitive Shaving Gel Active Comfort System. You need the smallest of amounts. So now I have both, I will not need to buy again for years. Although the shaver is expensive, I am saving on not buying the Coolshave balm as I used to.Happy - as is my wife who likes my smooth skin!

Silent progress...
Razor technology really does seem to have moved on tremendously in the last few years. I originally tried the Braun razors, but found, while they are great with bristly hair, they weren't great at dealing with softer hair. Moving to the Philips I found the reverse and, not being happy with either, ended up with the somewhat ridiculous approach of using the Braun first and finishing with a manual razor.Fast forward fifteen years, I decided to give Philips another go. And it's fantastic. It cuts all hair equally well - and does so (almost) silently. The fact that it can now be washed under a tap means no more hairs clogging the heads (which were always a pain to clean out). So, all in all, I'm now extremely happy and can't recommend the Philips highly enough.

A quality, but fiddly shaver
Too early to analyse battery life.Opening the head to clean inside is really difficult with arthritic thumbs.It does give a good dry shave. Not tried a wet one.

It's not good product I uesd just for few times and I not ues any more for my opinion it's not good

Shaving head keeps falling off.
Got this last week and it keeps falling apart - in that the supposedly "interchangeable" head (you get a separate beard trimmer) keeps dropping off while I'm shaving - despite following the instructions about it's use and making sure it's clicked in fully "without twisting".I've had my previous Philips SensoTouch 3D for 6 years and it has been brilliant, but yhe battery charge doesn't last as long anymore - hence why I looked for a replacement. Despite similar purchase prices when new, it's clear to me that this model is a significantly inferior product to it's predecessor - it is in fact "rubbish" and I can't see it lasting a single year let alone 6.I've returned this and gone back to using my old one which I fortunately hadn't thrown out.

Excellent buy and clean good shave
It gives one a clean smooth shave. It’s easy to hold and runs for a long period when fully charged. Very happy with this purchase.

Not impressed. I shave every second day. Take ages to get all the hair off. Looks like its damaging some of the hairs making them difficult to remove.The shave is not close at all. I always finish my shave in the shower with a razor. Kinda defeats the object.I feel so let down, my last philishave lasted 8 years and that was great. That would shave my head but the S9111 won't.

Wet skin without gel the shaver will tend to stick. Best to shave as you would with a razor, hot water and gel, use circular movements as you shave and you will get a closer shave. Also good to use in the shower. This is probably the closest shave using an electric shaver, not as close as a razor, but then there isn't an electric shaver out there that can shave as close as a blade or 4 which I still use when I visit the gym.
