Useful to have in your kit
As long as you use it for devices under 1KG in weight (as per the product description) this is a very useful accessory. Make sure it is long enough for your needs, this is not an extendable arm.Lightweight and strong enough for small cameras, and additional lights.

Great for overhead shots, or helping hand for lights, microphones, reflectors...
The NEEWER 36cm rigid Holding Arm is a great accessory to attach to a tripod, light or desktop stand. I paired it with a Neewer desktop stand. The arm clamps onto round objects – it wouldn’t firmly attach to a tripod with trapezoidal legs. The good news is most all tripods and stands are round as a lot of railings out and about. The only limit is the opening on the clamp about 28mm The arm is preassembled; with a is a twist screw tightening clamp on one end and a ball head on the other. The clamp has some rubber on the inside to reduce slipping. The arm is terminated with a step up from introductory level ball head. It has a ¼” 20 thread on it which will let you attach most cameras via the tripod mount. It also works with my led lights. The arm in association with the stand makes for a great overhead camera mount. It happily holds the weight of a canon eos r and r5; with a macro lens attached. The ball heads do make it a little tricky to remove your camera – there is no mount and the head spun before the camera unthreaded. The ballhead is good enough to hold the camera any angle I tried it with – it’s not just for straight down. The maximum weight on the arm is 1kg; and adding a camera with a better ballhead would stress that limit. If you are using a compact or action camera you could use one.If you need a support for lights, reflectors or other camera paraphernalia this lets you mount them easily. It could be perfect for an off-axis light if you have a webcam on the pole. If you are taking product photos or want to take demonstration videos from overhead the arm makes it a breeze; and removing my camera aside it’s easy to setup.

Useful Holding Arm from NEEWER
I am a hobby photographer.I know and like the Neewer brand products very well.I have bought many things from the company and tested all kinds of products from them.Basically, I am satisfied with the brand and they products.I am currently testing a Holding Arm arm.I have to admit, I have tried many things from the brand, but I am the happiest with this product so far. From the first impression, I could see that I had received a product representing good quality. It can be used simply and easily. The parts that can be fixed, the screw threads are solid and work well.Provides a stable attachment. In fact, it is a multifunctional device that which provides a good grip and holds the camera securely. Thanks for reading my review, I hope you found it helpful.XO Sue

I am newwer’s biggest fan, however..
This isn’t the best for what i wanted to use it for. My camera is a bit weighty and it didn’t feel as stable as a lighter camera might have. I’m currently using it for holding my mini ring light which its okay for but again it rocks a little.

Good accessory to have for solo shooting
I got this camera arm because I shoot my videos alone most of the time and needed something to help me capture different angles. This camera arm has been exactly what I needed. It's lightweight, making it easy to handle and adjust, yet durable enough to hold up over time. The clamp used to secure the post is of high quality and doesn’t slip once it's tightened, which is essential for stable shots. What I appreciate most is that the arm stays firmly in place, even when I make adjustments. The build quality is impressive, especially given its very affordable price. I haven't experienced any issues with slipping or instability, which is often a concern with lower-cost options. There are no cons to mention—it's been a great addition to my filming setup.Overall, I highly recommend this camera arm for anyone looking for a reliable and budget-friendly solution to achieve different shooting angles, especially if you’re filming on your own.

Sturdy, my DLSR camera will not tip. I only wish it was a bit longer. Excellent for the price point
