Before installation, please remove the Protective Cap and the Plastic Tape. Tape is covering chip and nozzle. 2. We recommend cleaning printer head twice before printing with a new cartridge to improve your print quality. 3. Clean the cartridges chip contacts with rubber eraser when printer does not work after installation. Do not touch the nozzle and the chip by hand. 4. Please ignore any error messages on your printer screen upon installation，such as "Non-Genuine Cartridge", "Low Ink", "Empty", "Used" or "Counterfeit". Click the button of "OK" or "Continue", then printing will go on. We promise the ink volume is sufficient.

No way Jose! Stay away.
Returned. Didn't work for my printer even though it clearly says that it should. You just can't cut corners when it comes to ink cartridges. Bought the original for the same money although it wasn't the XL...

My printer wouldn't accept them
Despite being compatible with my HP printer, the printer detected that they were not genuine HP cartridges and refused to accept them. So I'm about £30 and have had to wait for genuine ones to arrive. Very disappointing - avoid!

Rubbish, would not work, said on screen it was counterfeit, waste of money, so annoyed

Printer says NO
My HP 5740 will not accept these cartridges "HP Protected Cartridge Installed" and there does not seem to be a way around it.
