Excellent Fujinon Zoom
I had been looking forward to getting this lens and was keeping an eye on the price. I was frankly a bit surprised when I saw it advertised on Amazon at the cheapest price when I was ready to buy, but being a Prime member I saw this as a bit of a bonus. The lens arrived next day, Fuji lenses are well packed anyway, but the transit packing added by Amazon was very good too. The lens has been out a few times already (used with an XT-1) and the results have been outstanding. I like this lens very very much. Compared to the camera size (X-series) it is BIG, however it is light for its size and easy to handle. The 5 stop OIS is amazing and the focus ring and zoom are firm and effective. There is a barrel lock fitted which is good and clicks into place very nicely. Construction seems to be mainly 'plastic' with a metal collar (to cut the weight I suspect) and looks and feels robust and well finished. A large sunshade is provided which clicks into place solidly and can't be removed without pressing a release button. There is also a window provided within the sunshade to rotate filters etc. Excellent lens, highly recommended.

Soft at the long end
I paired this lens with the Fujifilm XT-5. It seemed to be a marriage made in heaven, a versatile, light lens with excellent image stabilisation and decent reach was what I needed. But - the long end of the lens was comprehensively exposed by the high resolution of the X-T5's sensor. At around 300 the images are pretty good but at 400 everything tended to be soft. In good light with high shutter speeds images were still soft, so I sent the lens back.

Disappointed
Mine came with 2 loose screws on the mount, causing the lens to wobble when on the body. Not as sharp as expected, although could be due to a defect as the QC clearly didn’t happen on my copy. Returned.

Awesome lens combination
Lens is awesome and purchased also with the 1.4 teleconverter. Great combination when used with the XT1
