Makita DHP481Z 18V Li-Ion LXT Brushless Combi Drill - Batteries and Charger Not Included

My Old Makita I had had for years. GearBox repair caused brush failure so looked for a new replacement. Bought this BRUSHLESS BEAUTY. Makes me wonder why I didnt do it before. You get used to what you have got, But the world moves on and kit gets better. This was a REVALATION. I thought my old drill was good but this is a MAJOR step up in performance. I use it with my old batteries which works well no performance degradation, improved efficiency means that I dont have to change batteries more often even though they are old. I will now look at the rest of my OLD Makita tools and upgrade them to Brushless. Torque on this drill is awesome. Only gave it 3 stars for weight. its compact but not a light beast, BUT THEN IT DELIVERS

i decided to buy this drill after studying the reviews and demonstrations,I have always had dewalt products in the past but has I like gadgets and as a carpenter I was on the look out for something new.The drill is worth every penny in my view it's very powerful got everything you need well built ,in fact it can be to powerful when screwing in screws like going into deep into the timber and striping the heads of the screws and drill bits so it's worth investing in some good quality drill bits.the secret here to driving screws in is to gentle press the trigger on and of not continues.The drill itself is light without the battery but when I put the battery on which I have the 4amp it does become heavy after using it on and of for the day so remember this if purchasing.Overall though this is the best drill on the market in its class,you will not be disappointed and with a three year warranty you go wrong.

Bought this as replacement for a Worx drill . Seems much heavier , better build quality but is a good deal more expensive.Smooth action but does require you to use the long side arm attachment especially when using the hammer drill as it will tend to move around without it ! Weighs 2.7kg ( just over 6lbs ) with a 3ah 18 v battery attached but is well balanced in use. Would recommend.

Hello,so the product arrived today ,just tested it works fine ,apart from a little weird noise ,but that might fade away in time ,drill looks superb solid construction I have a 5amp battery on it,so far so good ,I expect a lot from this brand, mostly because it is well known for quality and durability, I will come back with a further review later on .Good quality drill.P.S. The price is a bit hefty ,not because of the seller which sells this drill for a lower price than other sellers,in general this product has a hefty pricetag,let's see if it worth it.

I brought this drill due to the demands I would require from it during my building work in a off grid forest. So far it has performed faultlessly, drilling through think wood 4-6in with ease and used alongside the 5ah battery, power just seems to keep coming all day. Well worth paying the extra money for this very powerful drill model, unlike some of the lower powered ones more intended for use around the house.

Okay I moved or Lid 4 year-olds drill to that IRL 18v 5AmH battery and can say few things:That s a very strong tool. If you are only using it form time time and won't drill in concrete it will betook much for you.It's heavy, I'm not a small lady at I work out but it's heavy and got big torgue so it moves n my and. I need to holding in two handsBattery charger is bit loud because of air cooling it so I would recommend to put in tore room for charge

I used The makita Dhp481 a few times for DIY project. It's really very good. It's powerful, there are different modes, not heavy at all. If you use this machine one time you won't work again without it. I used other corded and cordless combi drills in the past like Power Plus, Skill, etc... This one is high level. Maybe is this one more expensive, but it's worth the money, if you have the money to afford it. Delivery was fast.

A good combi drill but the one problem it possesses is a bit weightyPowerful enough for your jobs

El más potente de Makita, tiene un mandril de boca ancha que te permite utilizar husillos de mayor tamaño y es de metal con lo que aumenta su durabilidad.No la utilizo como atornillador aunque cumpliría su función sobrada, considero que pesa demasiado y esa función la realiza el atornillador de impacto DTD152.Taladro combinado indispensable para el kit.
