I started with the 10lb option. You should too, this smaller mace helps you learn the forms and function of working out with these tools. A Male should start with the 10lb, and Female or significantly untrained Male with the 7lb. After learning the form, I moved up to the 15lb which made a HUGE difference, and was much more work than I thought 5 additional pounds would make. I have since moved up to the 20lb which is WORK. My grip, pecs, shoulders, and lats along with biceps, triceps, and core all see work and I've even seen some hypertrophy in my chest. I still bring my 10lb to the gym with me, along with my 2lb indian clubs for an excellent warm up and cool down routine. And I train with the heavier maces on cardio days.I believe that soon, I'll move up again, which means I will have to leave this brand. Which is unfortunate, as this is where my journey had started. I may buy the 7lb so I can show this to and include my smaller friends. This is an excellent tool for your home gym, or for your public gym. It's also great for recovery from joint injuries and back injuries, and as a tool to help strengthen muscles that help prevent injuries (I race Motocross... so very important to me.)Long story short, stop looking and buy a few different sizes. Get fit and feel great!

Nicely made and good value

Great quality item for the price. The materials are excellent, the weld and finish also excellent. The only thing I don't like is that the knurling on the shaft is a bit aggressive and can hurt the hands a bit. I have fairly rough hands to begin with. You may want to use gloves with this one. Other than that, very good quality.

Grip is a bit larger than expected but it's not unyielding. The 10lb is plenty enough challenge for me as a 165lb male getting back into exercising. I have to choke up my grip sometimes just to have better control of the weight. Definitely a good workout.

Seems like very good quality, I have been using this in my workout for about a month now and absolutely no complaints, will probably purchase the 15 lb one soon

Bought it for my brother for Christmas who is hard to shop for but he's on a health kick and he loves it!
