Possible for solid walnut
It bought this to create a rounded edge on solid walnut kitchen worktop. It was mostly good but did grab the wood now and again and required sanding. For the price it is good but as a few people have mentioned it more for hobbies which I agree

Compression joints.
Never thought about using a spanner on a compression joint before, I don’t know why it’s much easier. No slipping on the nut.

Job
Not as good as the video, leaves rough edges

Shatters the banding.
The tool does not cut the banding but bludgeons it, leaves chips along the edge and also leaves a 0.3 mm overhang on both edges. It was quicker and left a better finish by using a sharp Stanley knife. I did try and adjust the blade but could not get a satisfactory finish. Very disappointed, buy some knife blades instead.

Doesn’t work, don’t buy
In their video they make you think it cuts edging like butter but it doesn’t work like that at all. In reality you have to put a lot of pressure if you want it to work and leaves both sides of the mdf shelf full of dents. It leaves a real mess, luckily I tried first on an old shelf so I didn’t spoil my mdf board. Waste of time and money.

Didn’t work
The metal tool was bigger than the trimmer blade so it didn’t trim anything
