Really helps
This really works in helping my plantar fascitis. I wear it every night. It is easy to put on and take off. It is possible to walk once it is on, but I wouldn't recommend walking until you take it off. If you have large legs, it might not fit. I wish the velcro was adjustable for larger legs.

Not an actual left and right brace but seem quality made
I purchased the size medium as per the size chart but, a small would have probably been a better fit. I wear a women's size 9. They are very good at stretching and keeping my feet at a 90 degree angle. Three straps keep them snug on my calf, ankle and toe box. My biggest complaint is the description states a right and left foot brace but, the straps on both braces are on the left side of each brace. This means the clasp is attached on the inside of the "left" brace and the clasp is attached on the outside of the "right" foot. It is difficult and awkward to clasp the strap on the outside of the right foot. It would make more sense and be easier to have the clasps attach on the inside of both braces and have an actual left and right foot brace. That being said, the Velcro is strong and holds well. The outer shell of the brace is firm and feels durable. The inner lining is well-cushioned. It took over a week to receive the braces due to being out of stock but, I think they will be worth the wait. Fix the strap issue and it's a 5 star item.

Works, but of lower quality
I've worn a pair of these for about 18 years. One of my original pair broke, so had to buy a new one. The new one seems to be of lesser quality - though it still does the job. The main thing is that the lining is thinner and of a different material than my original. Fortunately, I was able to remove the lining of my broken one and use it on the new one. The second thing: The fasteners - clips - on the original are easier to unfasten than on the new one.

effective!
I had heel pain for over a year. stretching doesnt help much. Bought a cheap foot stretching kit to wear at night, the one that has no bottom support, and lift your foot from the front of the foot(toes), very uncomfortable and didn't work at all. decided to give this brace a try since its inexpensive. I've worn it for less than a week, and my heel pain is almost gone. Maybe because of the timing, but i deeply believe it's the brace that helps save my foot ( and my life). I can land my foot on the floor without pain. I can go for a walk and do my usual workout now. I still try to stay away from zumba, will give it sometime until I'm 100% sure that my foot pain is gone. Because after having the pain for so long I can't belive it's gone! ha! So, this brace is very well made, good quality, light weight, easy adjustment, comfortable . Highly recommend give it a try if you suffering heel pain like me. I am so g;ad I bought it. And keep it even if your foot pain is gone, cause the heel pain might comes back over times. You can use it again once you feel the discomfort.

A MUST for Achilles Tendonitis
I have been suffering, SUFFERING, with Achilles tendinitis for 8 mos. I have tried everything, RICE, orthotics, heel lifts, stretches, ice, heat, new shoes, acupuncture, hot yoga and physical therapy. Nothing was helping. I am DESPERATE to get back to playing tennis, or even have of hope of doing so. I ran across this boot and thought I may try it out. Is it bulky, yes. Is it painful, yes. But, DOES IT WORK?? YES!!!! I can only bear to have it on for about 3 hours, max. Props to all of you that can go a full night wearing it. I have used it for the last few days for two 2 hour intervals during the day and two 3 hour intervals at night. I am happy to report that I am PAIN FREE! No pain, zero. This morning I couldn't wait to get the damn thing off bc the stretch was over the top, however, when I took it off, the stretch in my ankle eased. I get up and was able to walk without shooting pain. I did an Epsom Salt foot bath, threw some KT tape on and did yoga. I feel great. Give this boot a shot. WELL worth the money.

Who designed this thing????
I bought this night splint hoping that it would be a lighter and less bulky alternative to the walking boot that I have been using following foot surgery. While it is definitely lighter and less bulky, it is a total fail in all other regards. The design misses the most basic aspects of biomechanics, and it clearly did not go through any beta-testing with real users. The straps are designed to fit specific foot/leg profile only and cannot be either lengthened or shortened by more than an inch due to the placement of the velcro on the boot and the impossibility of getting the other end of the velcro through the belt buckle. This, in my case, leaves the straps loose and my foot and leg able to move, defeating the purpose of the splint. My heel continually rises from the bottom of the splint, causing the plantar flexion that the splint should prevent. The straps also place pressure on exactly the wrong place on the top of my midfoot, causing pain over the surgery site where bone fusion is ongoing. Finally, as other reviewers have mentioned, the placement of the strap buckles on the outside of the foot/ankle (when used on the R foot) requires that the user be a contortionist to get them buckled and unbuckled. A pre-market trial of this product with actual users would have identified this as a major problem and should have led to the realization that a simple pull-through adjustable velcro strap (like the one on walking boots) would have been a better design for a boot intended for use on either foot. I am returning the product and will continue wearing my walking boot at night.
