Thin and light weight: is that good?
I think the jar is okay and looks nice. But I think the glass is way too thin. I thought it would be thick like a glass cider jug. But it seems to be no thicker than the glass on a small cheap water glass. Hard to review and hard to give it more than 3 stars being so thin and no documentation explaining how this glass may be stronger because of some process that makes it stronger than normal glass. I have stone granite counter tops and worry that when a guest sets this pitcher down hard on the stone that it might break the glass. Or if it slips and drops into the sink instead of carefully setting it in the sink. Also, one of the pictures showing it on Amazon says you get a 10% discount on both when you buy two by entering the code given. But at the checkout, Amazon says the code is not valid. I wrote Amazon customer service about it and Amazon did not respond. A regular store would give you the discount anyway if their display says that you get it and the cash register did not automatically give it to you. So I ordered 2 hoping the code will validate somehow, but it did not. I wonder if anyone has found a way to get the 10% discount. These pitchers are very small, so anyone would probably need two or three to hold much. Once I got them, and found out how thin and light they are and that upset me, I think they are overpriced. But if they last for years without breaking, then the price would be justified. Being so thin, I would not dare put it on a stove or pour boiling water in it. I make my ice tea in the refrigerator with cold water and tea bags. I think the tea tastes much better if the tea bags are not cooked in hot water. I did like the cleaning brush that comes with it. I think the nice cleaning brush adds value to the jar, rather than having to put your hand inside and clean it with a wash cloth. Just keep this cleaning brush for cleaning this jar and other beverage glasses. I think tea or water out of glass pitcher tastes fresher and is better for you than water stored in plastic. Bottom line: Very good so far, but I am very worried as I hate cleaning up broken glass. The day one of them breaks, I will throw out the second one as well.updated April 12, 2018: I did a bunch of research on Borosilicate Glass of which this is made. The glass is stronger and more durable than those 1 gallon cider jugs, so it normally is made a lot thinner and lighter as a result. I like thinner and lighter if it is as strong as the thick stuff. This glass is normally used in chemical labs were they do not want any contamination from the glass and where they are boiling and freezing stuff in thin lab glass containers. The liquid in thin glass heats up and cools down faster than thicker stuff. Also, my order was corrected and I did get the 10% off coupon for buying two. The only con I see is that neither this company or any of its competitors mentioned that Borosilicate glass is stronger than normal glass and that is why it is thinner than regular glass. It is still glass and as a result, it is still breakable, but it is both stronger and when it breaks, it normally is less likely to make as much of a mess of broken glass as is standard cheap glass. But still, if you drop it in the sink, it is likely to break. I believe in chemical labs, they stir the chemicals with a glass spoon, not a steel spoon or rod. So need to be careful and not get aggressive when stirring with a metal spoon. Based on my research and that I really like this glass, I am upgrading this to a 5 star.

Love the light weight and easy pour...
Finally I found the perfect water pitcher! Sturdy glass, but light-weight and what really impresses me is the handle is so comfortable. It pours well. You just turn the lid to one of two open slots (one is fully open, the other is designed to keep fruits or ice from coming out the spout) and pour, then turn it back to close. The lid fits snug, but isn't difficult to remove. The brush for cleaning came with it, and is a nice bonus. It also has a smaller brush which fits in the handle.I have to say, what impresses me most is Pykal's Customer Service. I had a minor issue with my pitcher, and after a couple of very friendly emails it was taken care of. I've not experienced such amazing customer service in longer than I can remember. They truly care about their product, and they fully stand behind it.I'm going to order another for our summer teas, and give away my older glass pitchers, which are far too heavy, and the handles just aren't ergonomic as this is. And no lids. We are using this one for filtered water... everything always tastes better in glass : )I happily recommend this pitcher!

Great Pitcher! When Delivered With Care...
After ordering a water purification system, I needed to order a pitcher to hold some clean water for drinking, ice cubes etc. I read some reviews as most do only to find out that it really depends on your own experience how something should be rated. I was a bit apprehensive as many reported on the product being broken upon receiving.I did find that the Pykal reviews were a bit higher than other models so I placed an order for the 68 oz pitcher. The day the pitcher was delivered I found it where most boxes appear next to my door. Brought the box inside and opened it finding a red and white slip asking "Pitcher Broken In Transit?" which immediately made me look into the box and notice that at the bottom it looked shattered. Well I looked over the slip and it said "Hassle-Free Replacement. No Return Needed!" so I thought lets put this to the test.Sent an email to Pykal along with a photo of the damage, received an immediate reply with a message stating a replacement would be sent out soon. True to their word I received a replacement in 3 days.Unpacked the pitcher, washed it and have been using it since. Works like a Glass Pitcher should and holds the perfect amount of water for me. I like that the lid has two openings, a strainer type on one side and a cut opening 180 degrees on the other side.My only issue is I wish the handle was a tad bit thicker to get a little better grip when using.Pykel sent a couple of Follow up emails to be sure that I was satisfied with the Product. And Yes, Overall a Good 5 Star Glass Water Pitcher that does what it should do with Great Support behind it.

Beautiful pitcher but short-lived
This pitcher is attractive, nicely shaped and works well for our homemade soymilk. I liked the first one so much, I purchased a second. I like the metal lid which fits securely. The pitcher pours well and is easy to hold and maneuver. I like that my hand fits inside to wash it well. I have used it on the stovetop several times to boil water without problems. In all a very attractive pitcher to go from fridge to table.Update 6/16/22All of the above is still true, however last month one pitcher developed significant cracks where the lower part of the handle attaches to the body. It never completely broke loose but could hear crackling when pressure was applied while lifting the pitcher, so discarded it. Today I realized that the 2nd one now has a crack in the same area of the body where the handle attaches. Both pitchers have lasted less than 9 months, which is so disappointing as I very much enjoyed using them.
