The Sooty Show Sooty and Sweep Puppet Set

My daughter got into Sooty, which made me so thrilled that Sooty has charm to even today's technology-driven generation, and that puppet slapstick still can generate interest.In this set, you get two puppets Sooty and Sweep. Both are good quality with thumb and finger slots for arm movement. Sweep even has a squeaker. But still, I feel it is worth a purchase.Unfortunately, while the set is very good I cannot give it 5 stars for two reasons which probably would not really affect a child but bug me as a picky adult. The magic wand is fixed and that means Sooty has to always be doing a magic trick at least to my daughter anyway, give me another story can't do that dad Sooty has a wand and wants to do magic tricks. Also Sweeps squeaker is far too low pressure which only allows for rapid squicks rather than squeeks. So it drops a star.

Product arrived well before expected date, which was fantastic for my very excited daughter. She absolutely loved them. They look exactly like the characters and are a good size. Sweep has a squeak which sounds slightly higher than the original but still sounds good. Sooty comes with an attached wand which you could cut off if wanted. Puppets fit adult hands also which is helpful. Very pleased with the hand puppets, they are very good quality and at a reasonable price

Brought back childhood memories buying these for my Granddaughter. She loves the characters and has fun with them.

My son loved these as a child, so I looked forward to entertaining my grandsons in the same way. Regrettably the product description was wrong - stating that the hand puppets are suitable for age 12 months +. However, the manufacturers packaging clearly states 2 years +! They will have wait another year to play with them, which is why I took away a star.

If you’re child likes puppets these are a great buy. Our 1 year old loves them. If I could say anything negative it is that sooty’s magic wand is stitched on in a way that it gets annoyingly in the way sometimes. It’s not an issue of quality and I’m probably being harsh

My daughter loves sweep, get one thing clear these do not fit on adult hands, you have to have small ladies hands as they barely fit on my wife's hands and although I can get my hand in them that's all can do there isn't enough room to get into the puppets arms. Great puppets though.

Nice items and kids love them, sweep best cos he has a squeekie. Whilst the puppets are a good size externally, they are quite small inside so only a smallish/medium hand will fit properly. Which is a real shame and a poor oversight. Also Sooty's wand is sown on and so doesnt move properly. It would have been better to velcro it so you could use it on sooty and sweep.

Fabulous puppets, a real hit for a retro-Christmas present. Amazing what the younger generation go for, but Sooty and Sweep (who I thought we’re firmly in the past - my past, my dim and distant childhood) live on!
