4.5/5 Stars: Excellent quality small EDC knife
An all-around excellent daily carry drop point flipper knife, that I just wish was a touch bigger. DESCRIPTION: The folded length is 3.75”/9.5cm, the open length is 6.75”/17.3cm and the blade length is a hair under 3”/7.3cm, of which 2.5”/6.4cm is the cutting edge, and there is a choil/finger groove. It is about 3/8”/0.9cm wide. The handle is a nicely checkered olive G10 and all metal is black. It has a pocket clip on one side only, but I do not use it, although it appears fairly sturdy. PROS: - Extremely well-made, better than a Chinese Boker or lower-end American-made Kershaw and Buck knives I own. Fit and finish is excellent, with no movement or wiggle in the blade and it is centered both opened and closed. - Extremely smooth opening, The press of my index finger on the flipper protruding slightly from the back of the handle, snaps the blade open quickly and smoothly, without the need for any wrist flick. - is a very handsome knife, aesthetically, pleasing in shape and design, and not something that would appear “dangerous” to non-knife people. - it is small and light enough that I typically do not notices it in the bottom of my front jeans pocket, but is sturdy enough for any reasonable use one might have for a smaller daily carry knife.. - Last but not least, the knife came very sharp, arm hair shaving sharp out of the box and has remained that way the several weeks I’ve been carrying it. I expect the D2 steel will hold an edge reasonably well, as it seems it has, and will sharpen decently. CONS: - The handle is slightly too small. I have pretty average size hands, typically wearing a men’s size large glove, and I find the handle a touch shorter than I would like unless I dangle my index finger onto the choil/finger cut out on the blade. If the handle was an extra quarter inch longer, this knife would be just about perfect. This is the reason I took off half a star in my rating. While I usually am not a fan of people lowering their ratings of a product because of a factor that was plain in the product description that they should’ve read before buying, in this case, I think a fair number of other men will have a similar opinion on how this knife fits their hands. Too bad Civivi doesn’t make a slightly larger medium size Praxis, as the full-size one looks to be a bit larger than I would like for daily carry. CONCLUSION: Despite the fact that the handle on this knife is a bit short for any prolonged or rougher use, I like it so much that it has been what I have been carrying most days since I bought it. It is an outstanding value for the $26, I paid for it. There are a number of fairly-highly rated Chinese knife brands out there that sell some slightly cheaper, pretty well regarded knives with similar specs, with G10 handles and D2 blades (allegedly), but I can’t imagine their quality level would be as high as this little Civivi. I absolutely do not “need” any more knives than the dozen or so I own, and I simply cannot justify complaining about my wife’s shoe collection, which is arguably more purposeful than a number of the additions to my knife collection. However, if I do find myself feeling lacking in willpower, I suspect the next knife I acquire will likely be another Civivi, probably a Damascus blade Elementum.

Mini Knife
I bought this knife as a gift for my dad, and he absolutely loved it! It came in a nice case and even included a small cleaning towel, which was a great touch. The knife itself feels solid and well-balanced, with a sharp blade that looks like it will hold up well over time. My dad’s already used it several times and keeps talking about how impressed he is with the quality. Definitely worth the purchase. I will be purchasing more for other family members at Christmas.

Small Knife, Big Competence
I’ve owned and handled more pocket knives than I probably need to admit, and the CIVIVI Mini Praxis is one of those knives that quietly makes you question why some brands charge double for half the performance. First, the D2 blade: it comes very sharp out of the box, holds an edge well, and strikes that sweet spot between toughness and ease of sharpening. At just under 3 inches, it’s legal in many areas and practical for real EDC tasks—boxes, zip ties, food prep, and the occasional “why won’t this open?” moment we all face. The action is classic CIVIVI—smooth, controlled, and confidence-inspiring. The flipper tab deploys cleanly, and the liner lock engages solidly with no blade play. No drama, no surprises, just good engineering doing its job. The G10 handle is lightweight but grippy, with an ergonomic shape that fills the hand better than you’d expect for a “mini” knife. It disappears in the pocket but doesn’t feel toy-like when actually used. The pocket clip is functional, unobtrusive, and doesn’t shred your jeans—an underrated achievement. Is it perfect? No. D2 isn’t stainless, so if you live in a humid environment or sweat like a marathon runner, you’ll want to wipe it down occasionally. Also, if you prefer ultra-deep carry or premium steels, you might look elsewhere (and pay more). But for the price? This knife punches well above its weight class. It’s the kind of knife you actually carry and use—not just admire. Bottom line: If you want a compact, sharp, well-built EDC knife from a company that clearly knows what it’s doing, the Mini Praxis is an easy recommendation. CIVIVI continues to prove that “budget” doesn’t have to mean “compromise.”

Solid offering for the price
It’s a good beater knife and I use it a lot, although I have minor nits to pick. My copy needs a wrist flick to open when using the flipper. It needs sharpening more often than many other knives that I own. The clip is weak. I made the mistake of clipping it to my tactical belt once and it bent, which to be fair is not the intended use. Inside liner lock is solid, but not easy to close with one hand, but that’s the nature of the beast. The coating scratches fairly easily, but not a problem for me. All that being said, I like the look, feel, size, and ease of sharpening. Overall, the cost benefit ratio is good and for the price it’s almost a no brainer.

Awesome little knife
Awesome little knife. I love it, it’s small and how easy it is to open it and seems sharp for what I have barely used it because it looks so nice and I don’t want to mess it up, but I got it because of Project Farm on YouTube

happy with this purchase
I got knife for my son, and it’s been perfect. The size is just right for everyday carry—small and easy to handle, yet still functional. The D2 steel blade is sharp and durable, holding an edge really well even after regular use. The G10 handle feels sturdy and comfortable in the hand, and the pocket clip makes it easy to carry around safely. It’s a solid little knife for camping, hiking, or just general outdoor use. Overall, the build quality is excellent, and it feels like a premium knife for the price. My son loves it, and I’m really happy with this purchase.
