Superb quality and cooks evenly
I prefer stainless steel pans. Over some 50 years of being a keen home cook, I’ve tried most; aluminium, enable, Teflon, ceramic etc, etc. in the end I always go back to stainless steel and frankly, they’re the best investment because with care, they’ll ladt a lifetime.I really like the WMF pans made in Germany. They’re so well made. No rivets inside the pan. A comfortable handle, dishwasher safe and the heat distribution is superb. The base is heavy and I find that if I bring the oil up to temp on high, then reduce the heat as soon as it’s hot, the base retains a lot of heat so I can set the hob heat lower. This pan doesn’t have a lid, but I have other lids which fit and it makes a neat sauté pan with the lid. The lip pours well and I highly recommend this as a great all rounder. It’ll last decades.

Better than Le Crueset. Eggs didn’t stick!!
Wow! Almost 60% lower price when compared to the Le Crueset, and much much better. I did everything I have learned, brought it up to heat, added fat, lowered temp, then added the eggs. The whole of the pan was the same high heat!!! The eggs never stuck!!! VERY happy with my WMF decision and will look to return the Le Crueset as I feel that that one doesn’t evenly distribute heat. WMF, German quality assured 😊

Suitable for professional use
This uncoated pan is highly durable, the thick base allows it to hold heat well. For its price and type of steel is made of its great value considering how easy it is to clean. The only downside is the handle heats up easily so its more than a bit warm to the touch, not hot enough to be painful.

I am really pleased with that purchase - strongly recommended Great Quality Product
MY main concern was:1. How easy is that going to be clean - and to be honest I was not sure - but so far - no problem (and we are using it almost every day).NOTE: Obviously if you burn something really badly (because you kid called you for something incredibly important while you ware frying something) then the pan will get some sticky leftovers. But I pour a bit of washing liquid with hot water and leave it for a while - so it is easier to remove them. So, to summarise it:We did have a number of different pans like: telfon / anodised aluminium / and some other versions of those some pretty expensive (yes they are easy to clean at the beginning but after a while of using them there is no difference to any other frying pan). So, again, when it comes to cleaning - if it gets really bed (it happened to me once) - At least with stainless still - while you are cleaning the pan you are just removing the dirt not the teflon or any other stuff attached to the pan. After some time all those teflon and teflon like (anodised aluminium) pans (with some funky stuff) stop to work anyway - food start to stick to them.2. When it comes to heat distribution (looking at the typical thing people are interested) - no issues at all.It is definitely worthy to pay a bit more for the quality you receive.

Sadly disappointing after some use on induction
Bought Sep 2021. Date: Jun 2022. Excellent, very heavy, excellent heat distribution. True WMF made-in-Germany style. BUT after some use in accordance with instructions (plus having used stainless pans for induction before and frequently) heat marks on our induction hob (that was a new one!) that cannot be removed. Food - even with correct heating - sticks massively (meat, eggs, sausages, etc.) From our POV no good for frying, no good for induction. - The pan’s now been given to a family member (using both gas and electric), and they are very happy with it. For us: a return to a major Swedish retailer as their kitchen gear still reigns supreme for us.

For a better measure of the size
This pan is big. For a better measure of the size, we are able to simultaneously cook 4 pork steaks. It has a steel surface and using the proper cooking temperature helps to avoid food stiking to it. If things go wrong it is easy to clean as you can leave it soaking in water and scrub with hard scoures.I have not tried to use it as a weapon, although it is sturdy and heavy. I suppose that if you choose your cookware with that criteria it is a good choice.
