These things are truly miracle workers. I have one next to my cat’s litter box and it absorbs any smell. I also have one in my kitchen and it keeps my kitchen smelling fresh always. They last a pretty long time and are super affordable for what they do.

I was looking for a truly unscented product to absorb odors from a small laundry stack closet where previous tenants had used cheap overly perfumed laundry detergent, and where smells from the next door neighbors comes in through the ductwork into the same closet. Trying to find unscented products was nearly impossible, and while this item was not listed as unscented, it sounded as close as I was going to get, so I bought it. The laundry closet I bought this for is a super smelly closet, so smelly that I don’t leave anything of my own in it except for laundry products stored in plastic. I tried using an electric air purifier in there with absolutely no change. I’ve now had a jar of this pet odor absorber closed up in the closet for 5 days, and while the smells are not gone they are noticeably improved. I placed the second jar in the bathroom behind the toilet to help improve the dank drain smell that seems to occur every few days. In this location the odor absorber full removes the odor in just a few hours with the door closed. My bathroom smells clean and fresh most of the time now. Please note: this product has the slightest scent of vanilla when I inhale right from the jar, but I do not smell vanilla, or any other replacement fragrance, in either location where I am using this product to absorb odor. It is likely the slight vanilla scent is added to this product to cover the resulting unpleasant aroma of the product itself. Because this product is not releasing a fragrance while absorbing odor, it qualifies as unscented to my nose and I’ll be using it again.

We have a mostly fragrance-free house, from laundry detergent to cleaning products, etc. Our cat’s litter box is in our utility closet, so I wanted to find an unscented odor-absorbing gel to keep near it and absorb litter smells. It’s surprisingly hard to find one that’s unscented, so I was happy to find this in a 2-pack. Unfortunately, it’s very much NOT fragrance free. When I opened a jar I got a strong whiff of “fresh and clean” type scent which reminded me of Febreze or carpet cleaning solution. I decided to try it anyway and while the smell does dissipate a bit after opening, I still occasionally get that perfumey fragrance when I step into the closet. Not sure how they can sell something as “fragrance-free” when it’s so obviously and strongly fragranced. I’m also doubting the overall efficacy of this product. It’s a gel-like cream that slowly dissipates over the course of a couple months, evaporating into the air, just like those scented Glade solid gel fresheners. Not sure how it can “absorb” odors while it just evaporates until it disappears, unless there’s some science I’m missing here. I’ve used other odor-absorbing gels before that don’t really evaporate like this. I can’t say it made a huge difference to the litter area so I’ll probably use up the second one and then look for something else - wouldn’t bother buying these again. The only pro was that the label removes easily so keeping the jar out isn’t so obvious.
