I have used this so far for a few days, so I am not going at all on the durability side of the review.However as for the device itself, it works well, no nonsense. it stores enough beans at a time that I don't need to get busy loading the coffee each time I want a brew.the grind is even, and the marking on the hopper for the fineness or coarseness is accurate, as is the quantity selector on the power switch (within reason).the machine is definitely not loud (owing to the bur style grind, which grinds, not chops, the hard beans) it sounds kind of like a food processor or Bosch dough mixer in one.

Grind settings are easily identifiable, and scoop and brush are under hopper lid making it a very convenient store. Not terribly loud. Hope this review helps

It's ok, it doesn't actually have the setting lines like it does on the picture. You just kind of have to guess as to where you're putting your grind setting. Apart from that it's a bit on the loud side.

Lots of features for the price!

This is a conical burr grinder. The flat Cuisinart D8M bestseller has a flat one. In comparison the grind of the cuisinart was so messy and the chute it came out left coffee grinds everywhere.This one is a dream, its a clean grind that fall right into the container. It is static free but buying real fresh Colombian coffee from Colombia, the beans have oil and may lightly stick to the catch container.cThe manual crank by java press was to tiresome. This is a wonderful replacement. coarse is coarse and fine is fine very accurate grinder

I was hesitant to buy this after reading the reviews, but enough people said it worked fine, so I went with it. The first couple of times it worked fine, it's a little loud and it does manage to get coffee grounds everywhere. On the 3rd or 4th use the motor bogged down, and grounds stopped coming out. I followed the cleaning instructions, took off the hopper, took out the upper burr, and everything looked fine. Tried it again, and still no grounds.Took the hopper off again, and turned it over. The grinder is clogged where the grounds come out, which isn't directly below the burr. There's a safety piece there that keeps you from sticking your finger up in there, (which is probably a good thing). I tried using the little brush provided, and managed to get a bit of the grounds out, but not enough to get it flowing again.The hopper and burr was clean and dry when I put the beans in. The beans were french roast from a brand new bag, and the grounds that did come out, (and are all over my counter) were ground well for espresso.The good news is now that it's clogged, it doesn't make much of a mess.I'd say stay away from this particular model, or maybe the entire brand.

Really like this grinder. It claims to be anti-static, but I wipe the outside of the cup once per week to reduce the static. Otherwise it's great.
