I did not expect there to be a large amount of seeds, if its to be used as mulch or for composting, you'd think that the seeds would be removed somewhere in the process. I am still using it as needed, however I am having to go in and thin/remove the straw seedlings that pop up, and they pop up fast. If you don't mind that, then this should work well for you. But I likely won't be reordering due to this.

I received my box of straw today. It comes in a box, no bag or anything, which was ok, less plastic, yay. Its packed with seed heads. Maybe my fault for not realizing it wasnt seeded. The pieces do not look like the pictures, this isnt fine straw, you cannot put it in planters/etc without cutting it first. Most pieces are at least 3 feet long. With the seed heads still attached. I guess I could use some shears to cut it down to a more manageable size but what a PITA.
