Very hopeful
I’m just a day in to using this. I’ve self diagnosed myself with dermatitis on my face around my mouth and nose creases. It’s been breaking out with scabby little boils and it’s been horrendous trying to keep it clean and wearing makeup for work, so I’m using this time over Xmas to try and heal it. I don’t know if I’m imagining things but I feel like it’s already starting to heal. All the spots came to a head today and none have refilled. Feels slightly tingly as I’m sat here now but it sort of feels like a good feeling if that makes sense - I feel like it’s working its magic (I hope) I will post another review if I remember in a few weeks. Thanks for a so far great product.

It worked! It really worked! And Rapidly!
It works! It really works. 4 days I have been using this and the perioral dermatis has reduced dramatically around my nose and chin. The redness has all but gone. No itchy feeling. Skin not bumpy spotty/rashy. Feeling smooth. If your suffering with a perioral dermatitis this is the rapid healer to use. Non greasy. A little goes along way. You can still apply foundation after. Foundation may look a little caked around the area as its healing but no where near as bad the look of the dermatitis before this when foundation applied. Such a relief.

Great for chapped skin
Has quickly soothed my chapped, broken skin. Probably best used at night before bed, or on the body, as it leaves white streaks, but I’m very pleased so far

Started well, but soon stopped working
I bought this product on the back of lots of positive reviews, which these days is quite risky, but it has turned out to be the right move. I have a couple of patches of (what i self-diagnosed as) Seb Derm on my cheeks, either side of my nose. As with these sorts of conditions, you spend ages on the internet looking for various solutions to the problem and end up going round in circles. At first i had been washing my face with a dead sea salt / water solution but it's relatively expensive, messy and doesn't work 100%. It never really brought a balanced feeling to my face, and while it cleared up 80%+ of the problem, there was still some redness and soreness. Eventually it seemed to slowly stop working. Next I tried head & shoulders shampoo - each day i would rub a pea-sized amount into the affected areas, let it sit for 2 minutes then wash it off. This worked very well for about 18 months, and one bottle would last a year, so a cheap solution. However that shampoo is full of loads of things that aren't really meant for the sensitive skin of your face, and eventually it stopped working so i stopped using it. I think the only good thing in the shampoo for seb derm is the zinc oxide, so that set me on a path to find a new product with zinc oxide, which is what takes me to this Zinc & Calendula cream. I simply followed the instructions that other reviewers left - i.e. wash your face, and a bit later add some of this Zinc & Calendula cream to the affected area, using as little as possible. Because there's so much zinc oxide you really don't need to use much - it's quite thick/dense. I've been trying to use as little as possible and only once a day. So shower in the evenings, wait a bit, then apply. I found there was fairly instant relief from the soreness sensation, and as each day passed the visual redness gradually disappeared. I probably looked a bit horrendous for the first couple of days where the skin was healing; i had a mixture of flaky, peeling skin and the cream mixed together, but i always got the feeling it was working so i'd have to just live with it for a short period. I'm now 7 days in and my face is 100% back to normal in terms of visual appearance and feeling. Of course the ultimate test would be to stop using this for a week and see if the condition returns, as anytime i stopped using the shampoo, i would have red sore skin within 2 days. So i won't claim this has permanently fixed my face, as i don't know for sure, but it feels so much better than both of the previous solutions. Seb derm is an excess of oil production and the zinc oxide helps deal with that, perhaps the other elements of this cream will help my face naturally fix itself from within so i can stop using it, but even if that doesn't happen, you need to use so little of this product that it'll last an age. As for what triggered the condition - i don't really know 100% either, but i would definitely advise against using any kind of alcohol based products on your face. For me it was suncreams like P20 and Ultrasun - as effective as they are, alcohol is too strong and drying for my sensitive face. I think the dryness triggers the oil production and that's where the condition begins. There are suncreams out there with zinc oxide as the base (i use ThinkSport), again they're quite thick but you just have to rub them in. My personal view is that once the skin is disrupted and damaged, it won't fix itself without some kind of intervention like this cream, but where as the dead sea salt and shampoo solutions treated the symptoms, i'm hoping by using the cream for long enough it will fix the root cause. I do not think that diet is related either, i've tried dairy-free / gluten-free / low sugar etc for sizable periods and it didn't help - it actually made me more stressed from cutting foods out. I exercise frequently and eat well, and while that helps with many things, seb derm seems too specific an issue for that alone to help resolve it. Update Nov 2019 It seems to have stopped working. I’m back on the head and shoulders routine and balancing the dryness that brings with a light moisturiser. There’s a website called simpleskincarescience that has a wealth of information on this skin condition.

Perioral dermatitis saviour
I could actually cry I am soo greatful to the others who have wrote about this product helping their perioral dermatitis. I have suffered with PD for a few years now (mainly left side of my chin, occasionally both) it comes and goes but earlier this year it was spreading all around my nose so i was prescribed metronidazole gel a few months back which eventually cleared up my PD, however it has recently returned and the prescription cream isnt working AT ALL!! If anything i feel like its making it worse??? It was getting soo painful and irritated and itchy just looked horrendous!! Eventually I tried just typing perioral dermatitis into amazon and this little tub popped up, I read all the reviews and disnt hesitate to hit buy now, and I am so glad I did! Its been only 3 days and its cleared up at least 75% and the painful irritation has gone!!! With a few more days I have high hopes it will be cleared up eventually!!

Thick like sudocream but very good to mix with other atopic creams to seal it in!!
Only received this this morning and used with an atopic lotion for eczema and my flare up has completely gone down back soft and healed splits in the skin, dry skin flakes right off! No itching burning or stinging anymore! Can’t wait to see how my skin reacts over the next few weeks, highly surprised for someone who has had terrible eczema from birth! This over gp any day!!
