Very useful, nice quality
This chuck is actually for a Proxxon lathe, but my issue wasn't to do with a lathe. I needed to drill holes only 0.75mm diameter, but my usual chuck couldn't grip drills that small. So I got this little chuck and fitted it into the normal standard one!

Drill chuck is ok, but the Proxxon Micro system isn't
I wanted to use this on some beech wood pieces I was making on the Proxxon Micro 250 lathe. But the tail stock is so wobbly, even after putting in alum tape. And the motor doesn't have enough power to drill even a small hole with a brand new quality drill bit. I even tried tapping in a hole to break the wood fibres. The chuck itself is fine as it is, but the motor power + wobbly alum setup doesn't make for a good drill. I'm sure this is fine on softer woods like limewood etc, just not hard woods, especially going into end grain. I'll have another go at it and try to find a way, but I'm not that hopeful. UPDATE: Haven't tried using it as a drill chuck again yet, but it's actually great on the other side to hold stock instead of using the crappy collets. Just used one of the collets that fit and voila! I can easily remove a piece by hand to check it over, or swap for another without fussing with those two spanners. I've only used this on limewood, but I'll have a go with something harder to see if works, but it should be fine. Works better this way than an actual drill chuck.

The drill chuck is ready for use out of the box.
It is a part that works very well. Drill bits are held true and the device is perfect for the price. I have used the chuck for accurate model work and have no complaints.
