Anchor Hocking Heritage Hill Storage Jar 4.0l Annealed Glass

This is a super large glass jar, which is perfect for what I wanted.It is currently filled with an assortment of candies, its well made, and has a lid which easily lifts of.

1st - NOT made in China which was a big positive for me. 2nd - although it was larger than expected (I’m not good at visualising/judging sizes from online) I was soon able to fill it with a double batch of chocolate chip biscuits/cookies. It looks so homey and inviting. 3rd - I gave it only 4* for sturdiness as it doesn’t have rubber or silicone gasket on the lid join. However, I do feel because it’s tempered glass (and NOT plastic) and with careful handling it should be fine. As for keeping things (flour, sugar, etc.) fresh that remains to be seen but I’m confident, and from other comments about it, it’ll be ok. I bought it mainly for cookies and it’s super for that — as long as your cookie baking stamina holds up.

I am lazy cook, I prefer to measure using the cups and spoons rather than scales.I was finding measuring cups of flour from a 1.5kg bag a bit of a pain so I opted to buy a few jars for my flour. At first I chose a 2l kilner jar but the largest cup that'd fit in the opening was the 1/2cup with no room for levelling so I decided to look for another jar. I saw these on the Barefoot Contessa and thought they looked fab.The 4Ltr = 1 Gallon, holds just under 2 x 1.5kg bags of flour.The neck of the jar is almost as big as the sides so there is plenty of room for levelling full cups.The jars are heavy (feels like pyrex) They are made in America and should last a very long time. The lids have no gaskets but seem sturdy enough to last,However.. Glass is glass and when miss handled will chip,crack or smash so just a little care will be needed whilst removing and returning the lid. I

I really love this jar! It's quite big and I use it to store home made granola. Roughly 6 cups will fill it just above 3/4 of the way. I think another reviewer said she could put in 2 bags of flour. I'm planning on buying more (for flour ect). the mouth is wide so you can easily scoop out with a measuring cup. I took away a star as I don't understand why there was no rubber seal. Delivery was really quick and they tell you exactly when they will deliver! I have also posted a picture that I hope will be helpful.

Bought as a gift for a friend. I put a string of white mini lights in it which look great in a hall or porch.Well made.

Jar missing seal

I already have one and bought this for my grandson. No airtight seal which I thought was a requirement for a storage jar. Contacted the seller who said it didn't come with a seal. Not fit for purpose

I saw these storage jars whilst watching lan Garten, they were in her kitchen. I am thrilled with them,as when using cup recipes it's so easy to fit the cup into the jar to remove flour etc. because of the wideneck.Quality l am so pleased with , although there is no rubber protection on the lid l am happy to live with that. Ordering and delivery was an excellent service, the jars were packed so well, no breakage and deliverywas on the date predicted. I will definitely be ordering a couple more jars. I just hope that anybody who reads this and is persuaded to order them will love them as much as l do.
