Effective inexpensive solution for bike rack wobble
I have the Allen two-bike rack and a Curt hitch. There was some sway and wobble. This kit solved the problem. The one I received matches the photo, so perhaps some of the negative reviews were referring to an earlier product. This kit is a little clumsy to install, as it slides a bit inside of the shaft. I get down low on a mechanics creeper and guide the kit into place with the cotter pin and then thread the bolt through. Slightly clumsy, but it's just a two minute job. Keep the threads of the bolt lubricated. The bolt provides a bit of security over simply using a hitch pin, and the kit solves the wobble problem very effectively.

Shake, rattle and roll? No more with this kit! Worked great for our bike rack.
Bought a Curt hitch to carry a bike rack. After everything was installed and looking great we headed down the road with our bikes on the carrier only to see them yaw back and forth so severely that we thought they were going to break off the mount somewhere. Seriously, there was a LOT of play in our hitch assy and the pendulum nature of the rack took every advantage to toss those bikes around. Simple solution! We replaced our CLASS-II solid mount with a hollow shank Curt Class-I (45018 - still fits in the Class-II hitch assy) and then installed this anti-rattle kit. Wow! What a difference. Once I tightened the bolt the hitch and shank were one solid piece of equipment. Zero play, zero yaw, zero issues. Worked like a charm. Yeah, if anyone has a problem with a loose hitch, get one of these. Would recommend to others.

I had an Allen Sports Deluxe 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack ...
I had an Allen Sports Deluxe 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack (1 to 2 Inch Receiver) for several years on a vehicle with a 2 Inch Receiver. Recently I had a hitch installed with an 1 1/4 inch receiver. Having lost the 1 1/4 inch anti wobble bolt that came with the Bike Rack, I purchased this anti-rattle kit from Curt. It works perfectly, no wobble whatsoever. The metal sleeve that fits inside the tube has a small bent tongue of metal. This metal lip fits inside the Bike Rack bolt hole that is used to secure the metal plates for 2 inch receivers. Took about a minute to install.

Works well on 1 1/4" bike rack
Good product. Fixed most of the wobble on my hitch mounted bike rack. It is much better than before. It is a little tricky to install and adds a few extra minutes when loading the bikes onto the car, but it feels much more secure now and I feel safer when I drive over speed bumps because I don't have to watch my bikes bounce up and down in the rear view mirror.

Does not fit Allen 1 1/4 hitch mount bike rack
It did not easily fit into my old Allen bike rack (I have an old Allen rack that about 10 years old.) However, I was able to force the adapter down the throat of the hitch with a punch and a hammer. After it was in place, I tightened it up fully on my hitch and it's working beautifully! It's the exact solution I've been looking for.

metal insert doesn't stay put, so what is shown would be better
The photo is wrong. This product has a U shaped piece of metal with a nut welded to it which fits inside the square tube of the bike rack or whatever. Then the bolt goes in and pinches the insert against the inner wall, to lock the two parts together and prevent rattling. I like that it is metal not plastic, as it should be more durable. But it doesn't stay put so it is very difficult to place inside the tube at the exact right position for the bold to grab it. Not impossible, and once on it is nice and snug. Odd too that they send a pair when I only needed and ordered one. but I do have spares on hand if I lose a part.

Worked Perfectly!
Used this on my Polaris 570 Touring with a Reese 1 1/4" draw bar with a 2.5" drop/2" rise. The hitch was very loose and this tightened it up to where I can't make it budge. Product was easy to install. I have not towed using it yet, but I am sure it will stay solid. The only downside is it will definitely take longer to take off/put on the hitch. I just leave it on so it doesn’t bother me. Overall great product!

Install it and no more rattle
This is the 2nd unit That I have purchased. The first one did what it was supposed to. That's why I bought a 2nd one. Just a little bit of effort to get it aligned and screwin the pin. Done. No more wobble
