Yes and no. It needs to be kept dry after each use or it will begin to smell like the badger. If you don’t mind the smell then yes. I rinse mind out after each use and set out to dry. There’s a warning that is with it about the smell. I’ve had no problem with mine.

It appears to be wood covered by a black plastic- like material.

Q: does the brush “shed“? I have a West Coast Badger brush that sheds worse than a dog.
