Nicely made. 304 is generally considered nonmagnetic. The tube part of this is nonmagnetic, the flange is not, it is strongly attracted to a magnet...I think cold working can change the magnetic properties, but I'm not sure I believe that the flange is 304. Maybe a 400 series stainless? It should be what they advertise, but I'll be happy if it resists rusting. The flanges are thick, and almost flat...the three corners are all bent back very slightly, but I actually like that...it is a slight bend in the direction that will cause the sealing surfaces to be held together more tightly. I did not use the thick supplied gasket. The flanges fit well enough that I used some high heat silicone, it does not leak, and I don't expect it will. The gasket was thick enough that it would squish where pinched by the bolts, not retaining bolt torque, and probable result in flange bending and leakage at some time. The supplied 12mm bolts fit loosely in the holes, I used grade 8 1/2-13 bolts, they fit nicely and ensure good alignment of the flanges. I TIG welded it into a stock honda accord exhaust using 309L rod, worked well. I think the stock exhaust was largely 409 ss, but not the flanges, which looked like they had been recovered from a shipwreck...weird...make the flanges better if you want it to actually last, honda!.. dumb. The tubing was just a bit large..shrunk these flanges a wee bit using the inside of a cone, and expanded the honda tubing a bit to get a tight fit and good weld. Spend time getting it aligned- it's worth it. Takes strain off the stupid flex joint honda uses, which will break soon enough without any encouragement.

W9rkes well for the rotted exhaust midpipe on my J30 V6 accord. It can be welded to the existing pipe but since I am in the rust belt and did not want to burn through the old pipe, I went with a band clamp. works very well.

It came in an unmarked plain box in bubble wrap. It had the two flanges and gasket but no bolts. Ot clearly states on the item title with Hardware and gasket. Otherwise it seems to be well made and durable. It'll fit my need perfectly.

The welding on these was perfect, and the fitment was great. I used them on the new exhaust system we are installing on my “51” Chevy 3100 short bed. My son in law said he was going to order a pair for his son’s truck.
