So, I bought this as a substitute for caffeine in my diet. I LOVE caffeinated coffee, but I respond in an extreme way to stimulants, so I get racing heart, high blood pressure, etc. Reading a medical journal it recommended this as an alternative to caffeine. So I have been taking it for a few weeks now, twice a day (not the 4 times recommended on the bottle) in a 12 drip dose in my coffee (decaf). It seems to be very effective. I get the wake up feeling of caffeine, but no nasty side effects. It also adds to the flavour of decaf coffee, which can be a little insipid. My sleep is not adversely affected, and I do not get manic episodes. The only downside I can see is that people look a little strangely on someone dripping liquid from a bottle into their morning Flat White, but I can always explain that one away.

Vogel products tend to be of a high quality, and this is no exception. I've given it 5 stars not because it's perfect in resolving my depression and fibromyalgia, but because as part of wider dietary and other lifestyle changes it has proved effective in lessening my symptoms derived from these disorders. A couple of previous ginkgo brands I had tried had left me feeling unpleasantly dizzy and light headed whilst this has had a mildly calming effect and helped give my thoughts a little more clarity. It was a big bonus that I got this with a hefty reduction. Being in liquid form seems to help in it rapidly being absorbed. Worth trying!

Can you trust the jar without a safety seal? can you put anything from this jar into your mouth??

I've no idea if this stuff is helping me or not but I'm only taking it once a day rather than the three times a day it suggests so that's probably why. The reason - it tastes horrible, which I guess I should have realised. After some time I have managed to get a technique of drinking it whilst holding my nose to avoid the taste, and then having a glass of fresh water after before breathing through my nose again. Unfortunately there is still a bad aftertaste but it doesn't linger too long. I've got more used to it as time has gone on and its more bearable but once I've finished the bottle I won't be buying it again. I guess it is probably meant to be better than capsules as it is in liquid form and probably gets absorbed by your body better, but three times a day of having to drink a horrible drink, I can do without. So after this I'm going back to the capsules.
