Hiya it's not plastic cover. It's thicker than paper but thinner than card type of cover.

It’s ruled and also micro perforated allowing clean page removal. Ring binding ideal for slipping pens with clip into. The best jotter. I’ve used them for 25 years. Hope that helps.
