Not For Outdoors
I recently purchased this Clear Anti Slip Tape. When I opened my package the tapes plastic wrapping was all shriveled up. When I opened the tape and removed the plastic wrapping there was some kind dirt or mold like marks on the tape. At first it was fine with me because it was just a few flaws and you know the term, you get what you pay for, but when I first applied the tape, it had already begun to come off in a matter of hours. So I then attempted to stick it back to the surface I had laid it on but it would not stick back completely. On the second day it was still applied but as soon as it rained most of the tape came off the surface as you can see in the photos. So I had to replace the first tape I had on my stairs just in two days. Nothing on the Amazon listing says it’s outdoor or indoor, because clearly it is not for outdoors. I am very disappointed and will not be purchasing this product again.

Should have believed the description of 80 grit
While this tape would certainly stop you from slipping, it is extremely rough (this is where I should have believed the 80 grit description), and would be uncomfortable on bare feet. Most disappointing is the look--I looked at some pictures others had posted and it didn't look obvious at all, but on our maple stair nosings it's very very obvious and not at all attractive. And something that I hadn't thought of before--what happens when it starts to collect dirt? I just don't think this is usable for us. It might work if you don't care what it looks like and you wear socks or shoes in the house all the time.

Works great but be careful!!
I have a dog that is in her senior years and she’s very arthritic....our stairs are hardwood and very slippery. This enables her to go up and down the stairs with confidence. Be careful...it’s hard to explain but it pitches you forward because it is so grippy. I guess you slide a little on each stair as you descend and this stops you short so you kinda lurch forward.

I no fall downstairs
Yah, cheap transparent sticky sand paper. I didn’t fell like paying a lot more for the 3M stuff even though I know 3M adhesives are the best. Oh well, my dog nor I will not be slipping down the stairs anymore.

So Fantastic!!!!!
Installed onto painted wood stairs leading down to the basement and it is much safer. One strip is good but two is even better. These work so well my dog flies up and down the steps whereas before he was cautious. Pretty cool I wish I had known about these years ago. I don't know if they handle outdoor use but indoor they will last a long long time.
