Great bench for the money.
Easy to assemble-no need to even look at the instructions. All the parts feel a bit flimsy until they're all finally assembled, but when it's all together it's surprisingly rigid.MDF shelves will need sealing with some sort of varnish otherwise they'll just suck up any moisture. The only other mod I needed to do was to bolt on a vice. With a bit of extra wood underneath to add strength, it's made short work of cv-joints and wheel bearings. For the price, it's worth it. It's certainly made life in my garage more harmonious. Now I don't have to call the wife in to hold something while I swing a hammer. Plus,as an added bonus it acts as a dumping ground for anything else we can't find room for.Makes me wonder how I managed before!

assemble where you need it as quite heavy
Reasonably easy to assemble. Just needed to work out which way the bars went for the boards to fit.Very sturdy.

Almost a great workbench
When I first purchased this bench, I had fairly high expectations. On paper, it looked like a simple, sturdy piece of furniture that would serve well in my workshop. The product description made it sound ideal for basic storage and light to moderate work tasks, which was exactly what I needed. I wasn’t expecting anything heavy-duty or industrial, but I was hoping for a reliable bench that would offer decent value for the money. The assembly process started off on a positive note. One of the standout features of this bench is that it is incredibly easy to build. The instructions were clear and concise, all parts were present, and the entire process was fairly intuitive. I was able to put it together single-handedly in under an hour with just basic tools. This makes it a good choice for anyone who doesn't want to spend an entire afternoon wrestling with complicated assembly steps or deciphering poor instructions. If the review was based purely on the ease of assembly, I would have given it five stars.Unfortunately, once the bench was assembled and I started to examine it more closely, the shortcomings quickly became apparent -and they are significant enough that they really impact its usefulness. The most glaring issue is the complete lack of support in the middle section of the bench tops and the bottom shelf. The top of the bench itself seems reasonably sturdy for light tasks, but even here you can feel a slight flex if you press down with any significant force in the centre. This is not ideal if you plan to use it for anything more than very light work. However, the bigger problem is with the lower shelf. The bottom shelf is poorly designed in terms of support. The shelf does not rest fully or securely on the frame supports underneath. There is no central crossbar or bracing to provide additional strength in the middle, which is baffling. This results in the shelf drooping, particularly in the centre where there is no direct support underneath it. The more weight you add to it, the more pronounced the sagging becomes. As a result of this design flaw, the practical weight capacity of the lower shelf is extremely limited. Even though the manufacturer’s description suggests a decent load capacity, the reality is very different unless you’re willing to take the risk of watching the shelf warp or fail entirely. I tested it carefully with a selection of storage boxes and lightweight tools, and the sagging was visible with even a modest amount of weight. This shelf is therefore not suitable for storing heavier items like cans of paint, toolboxes, or power tools - exactly the kinds of items most people would want to store on a bench like this. This limitation severely reduces the functionality of the bench as a whole. The bottom shelf should be an integral part of the storage solution, helping to keep your workspace organized and making the most of the available space. Instead, it becomes almost decorative unless you only place very lightweight items on it.The lack of adequate support is not just a minor issue - it is a fundamental design flaw that should not exist in a product of this type. A simple crossbar or even a couple of additional vertical supports in the centre would have completely solved this problem at very little extra cost to the manufacturer. As it stands, it feels like an unfortunate case of cutting corners in the design process.I am also concerned about the long-term durability of this bench. Over time, repeated exposure to even small loads may worsen the sagging and could lead to permanent deformation of the bottom shelf. If that happens, the only practical solution would be to retrofit your own supports or replace the shelf entirely - not something most customers should have to do with a brand new product. It’s frustrating because this bench had a lot of potential. The frame itself seems decently strong, the finish is fine, and the price point is attractive. The ease of assembly is a big plus. But the poor support design ultimately undermines the whole package. In fairness, if your needs are very basic - for example, if you want a bench to store lightweight craft materials, gardening supplies, or cleaning products - it may still serve you well enough. But if you intend to use it for typical workshop purposes or to store moderately heavy items, I would advise caution. For buyers considering this bench, I would strongly recommend thinking carefully about how you plan to use it. If you’re hoping for a sturdy, practical storage and work surface that will hold heavier items, this probably isn’t the right choice without modification. If you’re happy to either reinforce it yourself or use it strictly for light-duty tasks, then you may still find it acceptable. In the end, I’m left with mixed feelings. On the one hand, the bench is affordable, easy to assemble, and has a clean, simple design that looks good in a workshop or garage. On the other hand, its poor shelf support limits its usefulness and means it falls short of its full potential. It wouldn’t take much for the manufacturer to address this issue. Adding proper support to the lower shelf would turn this from a decent but flawed product into a genuinely good one. Until then, buyers should be aware of its limitations. In conclusion, I would rate this bench as a 2.5 to 3-star product, depending on your intended use. For those with lightweight storage needs and a willingness to accept the shelf issue, it may still be worth buying. For anyone looking for a more robust bench suitable for typical workshop use, I would suggest looking elsewhere - or be prepared to do some DIY reinforcement.

Getting Organised
The task I had was simple. However the lack of space & a clear work area meant much time & knocking masses of kit over in the process & quite frankly endangering myself. So; resolved to get a new work & storage bench & ordered this which was delivered 2 days later. Installed it and reorganised my workshop. Finished the next job. Was so impressed ordered another. I am organised - chaos is a thing of the past!! Unless, of course...I am DIY Joe!!
