Bob Ross Color-by-Number

This book is amazing quality. Each picture has its own page so no bleed through if using pens . 35 colours needed but could be adapted to the colour of your choice .

This book is fabulous and I have done several pictures out of it. I love Bob Ross and sadly the man died in 1995 what a waste , the talent and technique of a lovely artist. This paint by numbers brings the joy he told us that art gives. The colours once done look presentably arty and as the painter you will be proud of your efforts. I have used colour pencil to do mine , will try with water colour pencils next but one thing I will say which every medium you choose remember this is paint by numbers and the results will not be as good as Bobs orginal art work. 90 pages of bliss and many happy hours of creation . It is what life is about.

Firstly, do not buy this book if you think it will faithfully recreate the beautiful artworks of the wonderful Bob Ross. It is, after all, a colour by number book complete with lines and numbers. Having said all of that I am so pleased I bought it. The paper is very good - almost cardstock- and works beautifully with markers, either alcohol or water based. The images are line art versions of Bob's creations and clearly marked with the appropriate numbers. There is obviously a colour pallet provided, but I found I prefer to slightly alter the shades which is something we can all do to suit our own taste. I am really enjoying this book and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loved to watch Bob work.

This is a really lovely good quality solid colour by numbers book even for those who have never seen Bob Ross's Joy of Painting series, I have well worth watching, brought this book as this at the movement is as close as I am likely to get to following his painting methods, maybe some day. In the mean time this is a "happy" tribute to Bob Ross who is sadly no longer with us.
