A must have tool for any professional
I recently purchased the KNIPEX Pliers Wrench, and it has completely transformed the way I work with fasteners. Here’s why this tool stands out: ✅ Superior Build Quality The craftsmanship is exactly what you’d expect from KNIPEX—solid, durable, and precise. The chrome-vanadium steel construction feels incredibly robust, ensuring long-term reliability. 🔧 Versatile & Adjustable The smooth parallel jaws provide a firm grip without damaging delicate surfaces like chrome fittings or soft metals. Unlike regular adjustable wrenches, it eliminates play, making it perfect for plumbing, mechanical, and automotive work. 🛠️ Effortless Operation The push-button adjustment is intuitive and locks securely in place. The pliers' ratcheting action allows for quick tightening and loosening without constantly readjusting. It’s much faster and more efficient than a traditional spanner. 🎯 Perfect for Professionals & Hobbyists Whether you're a mechanic, plumber, electrician, or just someone who loves quality tools, this is a game-changer. It replaces multiple wrenches in your toolkit, saving space and reducing clutter. Final Verdict: If you’re on the fence, just get it! It’s worth every penny and will likely be one of the most-used tools in your collection. KNIPEX never disappoints! Would I buy again? Absolutely

One of the best and most versatile tools I have ever owned - 110% recommended.
I have owned both these pliers and plus the larger - 250mm - version for many years. They have proven to be one of the best tools that I have ever owned and I am a craftsman who owns virtually every type hand tool available. I have purchased this additional pair as a Christmas present for my brother in law who has much admired my pliers for many years. These Knipex pliers have smooth square jaws so can be used for gripping without damage (especially if a vulnerable item is protected by a soft piece of Fabric/leather etc prior to closing), clamping, holding, pressing, bending and most importantly for me, as a quick release spanner. Used in conjunction with the larger version they are a very effective way of tightening and loosening the unions on taps, central heating radiators and general pipework - especially the larger nut sizes where suitable sized spanners are not always readily to hand. The simple, but immediate, infinitely adjustable nature of the operating mechanism of these pliers is one of their biggest attributes especially in often difficult or restricted access applications. The Knipex pliers are extremely well made in cast Chrome Vanadium are extremely sturdy and are truly built to last a lifetime (and even much longer I suspect). Mine are over ten years old and used regularly yet are showing no signs of wear whatsoever. Knipex tools are not the cheapest - but the best tools never are. However, Lackner & Urnitsch GMBH helped to ease this burden by offering the pliers at a 31%, discount - the best deal that I could find anywhere on the Internet at the time. To sing the praises of Lackner & Urnitsch although based in Germany they delivered the pliers to me in double quick time, boxed, then very well and safely packed with a neatly typed invoice within and a tourist map of their locality. They are an excellent and efficient company to deal with and cannot be faulted - I am 110% happy with my transaction - Highly recommended.

Expertly made and extremely useful
Not being a fan of adjustable spanners (with a traditional thumb wheel), I was intrigued by these new design plier-wrenches from Knipex. They are unique in that they combine adjustable spanners with the ease and flexibility of adjustable pliers. A simple push of the button unlocks the wrench and allows you to quickly change the adjustment and jaw width. The jaws themselves are perfectly smooth and flat, as per a standard open ended spanner and lock on well to nuts. The handles are covered with a standard thin rubbery-plastic which still feels comfortable to hold and easy to use the tool. I prefer thin handles like these that are easy to operate with or without gloves and are easier to get into tight spaces. Although these spanner-wrenches are expensive, I think they are worth the investment as they can adapt from 0-46mm, very versatile and easy to use. As the literature advertises; you really can stop carrying around a bundle of loose spanners in all different sizes, and simple carry two of these (slghtly different sizes would be ideal).

A thing of beauty - Magpies will love them.
These are up in the best looking tools. However unlike a supermodel, these also serve a genuine purpose. Once you get the adjustment size dialed in to the nut(s) your try to loosen/tighten, these are fantastic, as you can sort of use them as a ratchet spanner. Can be a bit of a pain to adjust on the fly. Having jaws that remain parallel, are a game changer, as less likely to slip and damage nut(s), and boy do these grip tighter than a ferret on Richard Whiteley’s finger (quick search and you’ll easily find this). Do you really VDE version? probable not, unless you know your going to be working live or live in constant fear of getting electrocuted. They are very pricey, but they look so good, feel great in your hands and do a fantastic job, once dialed in. I ended up buying a pair of these for mainly working on SWA glands (never live but the way). Did I pay full price, no waited and waited until they went on sale. Almost got them two for the price of one. My adjustables still come out to play when tight for space, or need narrow width jaws.

I love this thing
It might just be in contrast to Cresent wrenches which are miserable to use. Even compared to the old parellel jaw king D's it's better the narrow jaw is able to sneak into some awkward places. Like the nut above the rubber foot on an overly tight washing machine levelling leg. Or to rapidly walk the worm gear back enough to scrub out the rusted solid crescent wrench it's replacing. Surprisingly comfy handles, I think the 180 seems to be a good general purpose size to get a lot of use out of this. Still getting the hang of the adjuster but that's just because I'm old. Super useful tool that can replace a whole spanner kit for a lit of applications. Not all but most. I'd certainly grab this to tighten or loosen a bolt before hauling in the tub of spanners and sockets. Excellent tool well worth the money. Definitely deserves it's place in the tool bag even if it can't replace everything a full set of spanners in the van could.
