Q: I've received this item, am I correct in saying it should click when it's reaches the correct torque required? As this does not

The 'click' on this torque wrench is subtle on this design. The head tilts or angles against the body. You can feel it through your hands but it's not a loud 'click'. It is not an internal 'click'. When this is achieved the correct torque is reached and it won't let you tighten any more unless you turn it when tilted then you are over-tightening - be wary. I am an Engineer by profession and this is a decent tool for the money. It will have a tolerance though and for me just over recommended torque can sometimes suit.

Q: Does the wrench have a ft lb scale or just Nm ?

The locking nut is used once adjusted to the torque setting required, tightening the nut it is designed to stop the setting from being able to be accidentally changed. kind regards Draper Tools
