wow
Found this book and thought the cover was catchy and the amount of positive reviews intriguing.Fantastically written, bit gruesome in places but I couldn’t put it down. I wasn’t expecting the twist at the end. Definitely worth a readOff now to download other books by this author

Satan’s Affair
It did take a lot for me to get into this book. However, Sibby is an amazing character and I have such a soft spot for her. The book is dark… very dark but it’s amazing! So if you’re someone who doesn’t like the detailed descriptions of ‘naked twister’ and blood, this book isn’t for you as the author is talented and always delivers.

odd
Weird, just weird. The ‘twist’ was predictable in the end and I feel like there are still a lot of unanswered questions. Worth a read but just a bit odd

a very good plot twist, although a little predictable
a very quick and easy read, VERY graphic (both in gore and spice), but overall a good book, the plot twist was a nice addition although a little predictable but worth the read

A deliciously dark whirlwind! 5/5
Honestly, this book messed me up.It is, by far, the darkest thing I have read so far. (My genre usually goes from romance to fantasy and back, or psychology textbooks etc).I could handle the gore/the cringe-worthy, dark descriptions of death and torture - I've got a degree in forensic psychology after all. This book got more and more interesting every chapter and I began to criticise the writing slightly, in that some things didn't add up and I was confused and kept asking myself questions. Then it all clicked when a certain man came sauntering into the picture and asked Sibby some questions, and my, I was not disappointed. Everything was confirmed and my mind was blown. I sat, reading the ending, thinking I was the insane one. I didn't really have any preconceptions going into this book, or even know what genre it was. I wanted to read Haunting Adeline because it's become increasingly popular over social media. When I read in the book description that the author recommended reading this book first, I did. But as I read, I wondered if maybe Sibby could actually tell evil people apart from good and it was maybe verging on fantasy or she was some long lost shadowhunter, who knows. I didn't really know what to think. Then when it got to the end and all was revealed, I felt like I was the one who was crazy (lol). It really was a rollercoaster.Retrospectively, I have now read Haunting Adeline and I am glad I read this first and it was very interesting to see different characters' POVs of events on a specific night. I look forward to reading Hunting Adeline now. Although I will say, this book did put me off of reading Haunting Adeline but after some reassurance on facebook groups, I bucked up the courage and pushed through and I'm really glad I did.If you don't like this book, you should still try and read Haunting Adeline.

Dark, Intense, and Completely Gripping – Sibby Shines in This Toxic Tale
As someone who’s been eagerly awaiting to read Sibby’s story since ℍ𝕒𝕦𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝔸𝕕𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖, I can honestly say it was worth the wait! Sibby, in all her toxic doll glory, is just as wild and captivating as I remembered. This book is not for the faint of heart—seriously, make sure you read those trigger warnings before diving in. It’s graphic, raw, and Sibby doesn’t hold anything back, which is exactly what I loved about it.The way this story intertwines with ℍ𝕒𝕦𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝔸𝕕𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖 is brilliant. It’s so satisfying to see how those plot threads connect, though I’m still left with questions, particularly about what happened with Adeline’s mother’s nurse. That mystery is going to haunt me for a while. And let’s talk about the twist—wow. It caught me off guard in the best way possible. My only complaint is that the book ended way too soon. I was completely engrossed and didn’t want it to be over. Despite a few lingering questions, this story was everything I hoped it would be—dark, twisted, and undeniably captivating. If you’re a fan of dark romance and loved Sibby’s character in the previous books, you won’t be disappointed. Just proceed with caution, because this one goes to some intense places!

Hello rollercoaster of emotions, buckle up kids!
Admittedly, I had zero interest in reading this book, I only did because it was recommended before starting Haunting Adeline. HOWEVER, I actually really liked this book! It's a very short read so you can get through it very quickly. This book is hella dark and is pretty gruesome. If you aren't a fan of horror style movies, you probably won't enjoy reading this book. There are quite detailed scenes that you would likely find bothersome. Definitely check the trigger warnings before reading this book.Sybil (Sibby) is our main character, and she works at a haunted fair called Satan's Affair. She has a mission to rid the world of evil souls, or demons as she likes to call them. When they enter her doll house, she smells them to see if they are pure or evil, and then she passes judgement on them. She has a handful of henchmen that work very closely with her on her mission, and they also enjoy group festivities together, especially after getting rid of demons. She grew up with a father that ran a cult and had many children with underage girls, claiming he was doing God's bidding. Sybil endured many years of abuse of all sorts, which created lasting effects for her."He's not God's disciple. He's Lucifer's little bitch."This book has some major twists in it, especially at the end. You get a glimpse of Zade in this book, who is one of the main characters in the rest of this series. And by the end of this book I was feeling a whirlwind of emotions for Sibby.I liked how H.D. Carlton approached her personality and mannerisms, given the way she was raised. I felt like it was accurate for a girl that had grown up and was treated in the way Sibby had been.Overall, I really liked this book for what it was, and I would highly recommend reading it, even if you aren't planning on reading Haunting or Hunting Adeline."Maybe people with dark souls aren’t all bad. Just because they’re dark, that doesn’t mean they’re not redeemable. That doesn’t mean there isn’t good in there."

This took Halloween books to another level
I wasn’t expecting the graphics scenes, but as a horror movie fan I was thrilled it with. Carlton mixes well the grotesque, the sexy and the “flashback” parts, and even though you know Sibby is technically wrong you still cheer for her!The plot twist left me shocked for a few minutes, and it was so good! It remembers me of my favorite movie.I think the only “complain” I’ve about the book it’s not having a Portuguese version to share it my friends. (Also, the waiting that starts now to read Sibby’s next adventure)

Amazing Book!!!!
I started the book because I wanted to read Haunting and Hunting Adeline. Many people said it was better to read it beforehand and I'm glad. I really like the story but the plot shocked me. I didn't see it coming and I don't really like it because I wished that these men were real But the plot itself is fantastic! Its just my opinion. I hope that I get to know her better in Haunting and Hunting adeline and that she gets her happy ending.
