my favourite earphones ever
I've been using this product for over 15 years - I lost the first one, then the second one broke after a decade - I broke the cord - I think it's safe to say it was long lasting. I am so happy that I've found the exact same product again. I hate ear bud type earphones for multiple reasons. I had another type of clip on ones before, but this one is so much more comfortable in comparison. This one is the best stuff EVER!!! Good sound, comfortable wear, good value for money and works with all my devices. Please don't stop selling it.

So good I bought another!
These are so lightweight and comfortable that often times I'll forget I even have them on, and the sound quality is still good even though the actual size of these things is so tiny. I ended up being so happy with them that after about 6 months of use I decided to buy another pair in a different colour, and the original pair is now over a year old and still works flawlessly.

Almost brilliant!
I don't often leave reviews but I really wanted to here, mainly because there are quite a few unnecessarily bad reviews for this product. These are headphones that cost around tenner, so have realistic expectations when you buy them - they aren't going to be the best you've ever heard. BUT, as with all headphones under 50 quid there is a compromise that has to be found somewhere between comfort and sound quality. I think these hit the mark brilliantly. I don't like on-ear headphones with a headband, because they're impossible to fit in a pocket when you aren't using them. And after trying very, VERY many pairs of in-ear bud headphones, I still can't find a pair that are comfortable and that stay in: I find they almost always pop out particularly when you turn your head to check for traffic or if you're daft enough to attempt any sport. These bad boys answer all those problems. Small enough to still be very compact, but with clips that go over the back over your ears to keep them firmly place no matter what you're doing. These would stay on if you went for the world pogo record. On a trampoline. In a force 9 earthquake. While drunk. Sound quality isn't perfect, but that's the compromise. They're a bit light on bass, but where others here are moaning that that makes them sound tinny and dated I find it makes for a bright, clear, crisp sound that so far with my tunes work fine across pop, rock, metal and blues. I suspect bass-heads deep into their hip-hop might be a little underwhelmed but what do you expect for such a good price? The bass is still disappointing on headphones 2 or 3 times the price, so just deal with it! Volume seems fine to me too, no problems there. I've read a few people saying they don't fit or can't get them to stay on. I really don't understand this, as it's a very smart, very simple "one size fits all" kind of solution to keeping headphones comfortably in place. If you have ears capable of holding a pair of sunglasses or specs in place, then these are for you. I wear glasses most of the time and even though these loop over the same part of the ear, they don't get in the way with the glasses at all. I suspect people who can't get these to stay on would have difficulty working a pencil. If you want versatile, comfortable, reliable and unshakable earphones at a great price then these are for you. If you are interested in filling your head with teeth-rattling bass, keep on searching. But good luck finding anything that'll do that job for ten quid. The most comfortable headphones I've owned for a very long time.

Fulfil their purpose as far as I'm concerned.
These are good for what they are: cheap, simple, small headphones that don't plug anything into your ear or have any kind of "band" to wrap around your head. They aren't noise cancelling because there are no cans to fit over your ear, they aren't going to play music at the highest quality because they're just lightweight little pads, and people will probably be able to hear some of what you're listening to because there's no pressure to hold them close to the ear. If you're looking for these qualities, then this item isn't what you're looking for. But for what they actually are, I do recommend. They're incredibly lightweight and feel like they "hang" off the ear which feels weird and like they might fall off, but they don't actually dislodge even when vigorously shaking my head. The sound is indeed tinny, kind of reminds me of the built-in speakers on a monitor— not the ideal, but then speakers and actual HQ headphones would cost a great deal more and take up more space. Can't speak for durability as I only just got them, but I will say I've had an issue before with other brands where the audio crackles when the wire moves and there's no sign of anything like that. So far the only downside is that I've rediscovered the fact that the feeling of having something hooked around my ear actually kind of bothers me after a while, but that's on me, and I don't intend to use these for hours on end so it should be fine.

Good before but these ones fell apart on second use
This is my third pair of these earphones. I've found them really good in the past - comfortable, lightweight, convenient, well-priced - and have had pairs for leaving on my work desk, for carrying around etc. They aren't top quality for listening deeply to music and they aren't noise-cancelling, but they were ideal for what I needed. And comfortable, as I am one of those who can't wear in-ear phones. I bought this pair a few months ago as a back-up spare if needed. Opened the pack last week and used for a couple of work meetings. Put them on a second time and the over-ear clip came off! Assumed it would just clip back in - but nope. Well and truly broken. Massive disappointment as have had good, long use out of previous pairs. Guess this must be a duff set - but unfortunately, probably too late to return to Amazon now.

You'll never catch me with a headphone dent!
From wearing headphones at a young age to now, I realised I'd developed a slight dent on the top of my head - I wasn't gonna let that slide and decided to order these to combat that issue. They're super comfortable and quick to get used to plus the sound quality is as good as any other earphone you can buy. You can even wear them in bed and lay on your side! Greatly affordable, durable, lightweight and thin so they don't protrude outwards. Would recommend :D

Update at 2025-Jun-13: I bought my first pair of these earphones about 15 years ago. I've tried others now and then, but for me, these Panasonic over-the-ear earphones outperform them all. These Panasonic earphones typically work perfectly for about a year +/- 9 months. Some connection breaks down for one ear, leaving sound only in the other. So, I get another pair. A wireless pair would please me, but no manufacturer seems to have found a way to make Bluetooth with independence from heavy battery, user-friendly setup, basic sound quality, reliability, and the comfort of these Panasonic over-the-ear earphones. Original Review: I use my earphones while (1) Riding on the bus, (2) Riding on my bicycle, (3) Walking and hiking, and rarely otherwise. Top sound quality is something I would like to have, but I'll never get it, even with the finest earphones, because I use them in noisy environments. Fairly good sound is the best I can hope for. On the other hand, practicality and comfort matter greatly to me. Formerly, I used in-the-ear earbuds, but I got an ear infection, my first since I was a kid, and I felt (sorry, no controlled study on this) that sticking those objects in my ears led to the trouble. So, I switched to these earphone styles that grab the ears. I compare the competitor Koss KSC75 Portable Stereophone Headphones K ( Koss KSC75 Portable Stereophone Headphones ) with the Panasonic RPHS46EK Slim Headphones P. I've alternated use of both of them for about 2 months. Either K or P is a good choice. Both are good products. I prefer P. Of dozens of earphone makes and models, P is the best I've ever found for my purposes. K has better sound quality than P, I think, when I sit in a quiet room. On the road, I can tell no significant difference. Wind noise doesn't seriously affect either K or P. They are as good as any other earphones that don't completely cover the ear. K has a straight-thru jack, while P has an elbow jack. I like the elbow, because it goes in a pocket more easily, and because I don't worry about it snapping off, leaving a chunk of metal inside my iPhone. I've noticed no significant noise from the cord with either K or P. The earpieces of K are heavier than the P, so that when I disengage the earpieces (as when I want to hear somebody speaking to me) and hang them over a shirt collar, the K fairly rapidly descend with gravity so they swing in the breeze on the end of 30cm of slack cord. The K earpieces are rather larger than the P, maybe half again the diameter in any dimension. For me, it's more difficult to fit the K into a pocket when not in use. The earhooks on the K are more rigid than the earhooks on the P. Thus the K are a little more difficult to get on/off. I often have to "weave" my ear between the earhook and the pad to get a good fit. The stiffness of the K make them a little less comfortable to wear. Comfort can be increased with adjustment. The P are generally quite comfortable. One of the K earhooks popped off the other day. I was able to snap it back on, without much trouble. This may be a rare event. I haven't enough experience with them to say at this time. No such problem with the P.

Super ligyt, thin and comfortable. Sound is allright, depends alot on the proximity to your ear canal. But overal great experience. No microphone, but thats allright for me
