Japanese Albums

Lovely sketch book with great paper

I've bought already about 50 albums of this kind (large and pocket version), its just too brilliant for not use it. you can make a drawings on one page or to expand to next 2, 3pages etc.... very useful, practical and also even for collecting pictures, fragments from newpapers it goes inside well and is very easy to watch it then. this is my favourite and only moleskine type of notebooks that i fell in love!

This album is well made - like all Moleskine sketchbooks. The paper is smooth and has an accordion fold (like a concertina). Excellent for pen and ink and coloured pencils but I wouldn't use it for watercolour. In other words it works petty much like the sketchbooks with a lilac cover. The only problem with this sketchbook is coming up with a big enough subject to make the most of the format!

I love the design of this notebook, i envisage being able to have a great flow to the notes, sketches etc so the whole process has a more natural feel. The quality is great, as you'd expect from Moleskine, where a lot of what you are paying for is the brand. The main problem with this album is it's too nice to spoil by starting work in it.

If you like creating illustrations, stories etc, this is the album for you. The whole thing opens up like a concertina book with lovely paper to create your masterpiece. Just plan how to set it out before starting to ensure the whole book flows when opened! Brilliant!

Finally we have a large Japanese sketchbook from moleskine, could do with more pages like the smaller version. Great to find this, can't wait to start my new project in it. Would be amazing to have an A4 version.,- Moleskin if you're listening?

Great value great item

Lovely little book - I'm using it to make a fold-out collage / timeline. Great quality and just the right size for what I'm using it for.

The notebook itself is really nice, pages feels rich. But it was shipped with just a plastic cover, not cardboard or anything hard to protect the notebook. And it was damaged on several parts. I bought it as a birthday gift but turned out to be a disappointment.

I like moleskine. I’m used to their paper and I particularly like drawing in their Japanese sketchbook BUT they have the worst quality control. Two of the three notebooks I’ve purchased from amazon came with glued pages. When trying to separate them they end up braking or not opening flat. Problem is, they come wrapped and there is no way to know what you get.

arrived in excellent condition, and the Japanese album/accordion style format is so much fun to draw with. paper quality is great too :))
