Wipe New HDL6PCMTRRT Headlight Restore Kit

Normally I don't write too many reviews because I buy books or items where a review of the seller based on a crap item isn't fair. Here I chose to do it because the product, at least in the short-term, really works. I just applied it today (06/06/24) so I can't warrant its effectiveness in say a year. It might not last but for today, I'll say that this headlight cleaner was amazing. I inquired from a shop how much it might cost to have my headlights cleaned as they are 10 years old, often in the sun, and are really foggy. They said $250. I thought to myself, why not look on Amazon first and see if there is anything that might come up. This restore kit came up for under $20. I figured, the worst thing that happens is no change or more scratching from the sandpaper they provide. And initially, that's exactly what it looked like. Many more scratches. I thought to myself, "Self, worst thing is I'll have to get it done by someone." Then, I put on the application and wow!! My headlights look amazing. I won't say "Like new" but I will say that it is really impressive. I have some deeper scratches that didn't go away but the product doesn't guarantee that. I couldn't be happier.One critique of the video I would provide, for those listening to it, is that you shouldn't wait for the water to become clear. It isn't going to become clear because you are effectively sanding plastic. It will likely be a thin, milky white and stay that way while sanding with the 2000 grain. You will definitely see a brown run-off initially. Also, the video shows that the headlights are clear after sanding with the 3000 grain. Don't know how that got that, I didn't get that result. I did get a less resistance at some point, as they said I would with the 3000 grain. I was concerned when looking at the headlights but once I put on the chemical application, what a difference!! Highly recommend this kit and it was relatively easy to do. More than the 15 minutes they said, but still, it was a 30 to 40 minute job and it saved me 230ish dollars. I am willing to do it again next year if i need to. Keep in mind, chances are that a long lasting solution may well be just buying new headlights, but who wants to do that??? If this is a maintain that needs to be done once a year or once every few years, it is so worth it! Thank you.

Worked really well

I utilized my Wipe New on a new to me car I recently purchased. The car is beautiful and the only thing lacking were the clear and bright headlights. I took many other reviews and their photos into consideration prior to buying this product, and although some of them were mixed reviews and some of the photographs showed only slight improvements, I was impressed with the reviews and photos that showed excellent results. I was able to take some really great advice away as well.Since I was actually more a bystander than the one doing any real labor, I found it to be incredible simple and didn't require any elbow grease at all! LOL. My husband and I did this in the garage with the garage door fully open. We followed the instructions, and my husband did put some elbow grease into the sanding as suggested in a helpful review. This helps erase years of scratches from sand and dirt. Living in Las Vegas, NV. We knew we should really follow that great advice of putting some muscle into it. Noting overly strenuous, and a little extra time consuming, but in the end well worth it.When we got to the final step, wiping it new, the headlights looked brand spanking new. The end result is beautiful. This product really delivers!The fumes are indeed very strong once you open the wipe. Do follow the safety instructions and do allow the headlights to dry for a little longer than the instructions tell you to. The reason for my four star rating rather than the five, is because after allowing to dry for the time the instructions stated, my husband touched on of the the headlights and it was slightly tacky. It left a slight fingerprint smudge that no one else would pay any attention to, but I know it is there and is the only flaw. In addition because if we hadn't have taken other reviews into consideration, I fear I may not have been as satisfied as we are. I really don't think the magic is in the wipe alone. The instructions don't tell you about the necessity of sanding with some strength, even though the company provides all of the tools for the outstanding outcome. You probably will be as satisfied as we are with the product in the event that you decide to purchase this.I remember some years ago we bought a similar product at at least twice the price. We followed the instructions and did not put any elbow grease at all into it. That is also what the end result was. Nothing, nothing at all. I really do not know for certain if the strength in the sanding would have made the difference. Frankly speaking..., I don't even remember sanding. But, I can tell you, I am thrilled with the phenomenal results the Wipe New provided. Especially at half the price.

Cuidado al pasar la toalla con el ácido debe ser despacio y de una sola pasada con calma de un extremo del faro al otro lento y firmeNo lo o pases dos veces ni en el momento no despues.La lijita viene envuelta en la toallitaPon masking tape en la pintura si no se manchaLija primero con la verde con agua sin miedo y luego con la azul del reverso.Los lavas los secas y pasas la toallita del ácido como te dije.No hagas pendejadas!! Sigue las instrucciones si no quedan feos y este producto es caro.no lo compres por más de 500 o 25 USD no te arrepentirás.

I had replaced left headlights as it was broken, and the right headlight(8 years old ) started looking ugly, white.I spent half an hour wet sanding it and washed cleaned, dried and applied wipe new.Now the difference, between the new and old is barely noticable.Only on close observation can you notice the different.It didnt make it look like brand new but i can say 95% like new.TIP: Make sure you spend good time wet sanding.

Also ich muss echt sagen das ist der Hammer. Arbeitszeit 15 min und selbst für ungeübte top. Kann ich echt nur weiter empfehlen.
