how do you specify colour? I tried to in the gift section but received the only colour I didn't want

This also happened to me, got the only colour I can't use, pink. For a boy so was looking for green, as his brothers have blue and purple

Can I get a Clear one for my son

The boxes themselves are clear. It's only the closure tab and the small tray insert that's coloured. When I purchased mine they also had one that was finished in blue and another in pink. Hopefully they still have some choices available that will suit your son.

I don't know why you can't choose a colour from Amazon. I have one blue one left in stock though, should you want blue!
