Sometimes I feel like being Japanese. So I make soup. Great taste. I tasted before adding miso, it's a subtle sweet, salty fishy broth great for stock and making miso soup. Chuck some shiitake mushrooms, tofu, miso and seaweed and it's great brothy soup. Goes well with rice, sushi or by itself. 🙉

Smells quite strong when you pour a sachet (or two) into hot water for stock, but it makes delicious miso soups and sauces. I use it when making congee.

I add one whole piece to the crockpot broth when making bean soups. No need to presoak. After about 6 hours in the crockpot, it dissolves without affecting consistency. Adds a bit of extra flavor. I had a need for more iodine and this is an excellent source.

This dashi is perfect and essential!

Perfect for okonomiyaki and home made ramen! I use it in my kitchen for over a year now! Product of good quality!

Add a spoon of miso paste and it makes an amazing authentic Miso soup. Beautiful broth on its own
