SeikoQXH039B Oak Wooden Quartz Battery Wall Clock with Pendulum and Westminster Chime, Volume Control

This is truly a beautiful clock - beautiful to look at, and beautifully made. Ours is hung on a strong nail which is in a brick wall, although it does come with a fitting bracket a screws if you feel the need to use them. It also comes supplied with a 'C' battery. The volume of the chime can also be set to whatever suits your requirements. Our volume is set to just above minimum so when viewing the television you can still hear that instead of being 'out-bonged' by the chimes! Hourly chimes on the hour (obviously), but also part chimes every quarter of an hour. Arrived extremely well packed, together with easy to follow instruction manual and guarantee card from the Seller. If you choose to by this clock, you will not be disappointed.

Bought this to replace an existing clock which no longer works. It is a really well made clock and the chimes are great.

Nice looking clock with Westminster quarterly chimes which are pleasant and sound can be controlled along with auto night shut off. Love the face on this clock as opposed to the normal roman digits.Only two issues; first altering the time was very fiddly and I presume required taking down from wall to adjust.Secondly, I had to return as the chimes had a fault. Would I recommend it? Yes.Hope to purchase a replacement soon as return is cleared.

I bought this clock confident that it would be good quality because of the Seiko name. My confidence was fully justified. The case is proper wood and it looks great.The dial face is classic with a second hand. There is a choice of two chimes with volume control. The chimes can be silenced during the night. The hands are best moved by hand. The clock adjusts the chimes until they synchronise with the correct hours and quarter hours. It is easy to set up and the time keeping is excellent.Graham Greatrix

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this clock. The Westminster chime is just PERFECT, gentle and soothing. It chimes every 15 minutes and just makes a house feel homely. It is a nice sturdy clock that sat on our mantelpiece initially but now we’ve hung it on the wall which was easy to do. Really really delighted with this - worth every penny we paid.

The clock arrived bang on time (which is fitting for a clock!) and very little assembly was required. Basically, fit the pendulum on its hook and insert the battery. It is worth reading he instruction book so you know how to select the desired chime, adjust the volume and select whether it is silent between 11pm and 6am. The chime is very loud so I backed off the volume quite a bit. I selected the Westminster chime but I think the chime is a little off key ... or maybe it's my ears? Anyway, it has a very nice full tone and sounds a lot bigger than it is. It chimes on the quarter hours too. This is a feature you can't turn off but I knew that before I ordered it and am quite happy it works in this way. The battery (a 'C' size) is hidden under a sliding cover so can be replaced without taking the clock off the wall. The instructions say the battery should last about 12 months but time will tell (another pun!). And perhaps more importantly it seems to be keeping perfect time. I suppose that's no surprise for a Seiko. Although I have scored only four stars, because the chime my be slightly off key, I am very satisfied with the purchase.

I have always loved grandfather clocks but one would be wrong in our modern house so had been looking for one that would be right. This clock fits the bill, the wood surround is simple but elegant. Also the clock face is just right. We have had the chimes up high and down low and have now got them just right for our house. It keeps good time and our grandson loves watching the pendulum. Very happy customer!
