Count down the remaining seconds to your inevitable doom in style!
This is a very good-looking clock which of course is accurate and totally silent. The yellow continuous sweep second hand is mesmerising as it counts down the remaining seconds to your inevitable doom!Seiko is one of the best-known brands for quality and reliability. I have another Seiko wall clock which is over 40 years old, still going strong and as accurate as ever. Say no more. Seiko launched the world’s first quartz wristwatch in 1969.By the way, Seiko means ‘exquisite’ in Japanese. At 25cm (10 inches) in diameter, I think it is the ideal size for an average size room.Perhaps a couple of pedantic niggles: -1) The black face can cause reflections at certain angles and lighting conditions.2) The second hand starts as soon as the battery is inserted, so if you want it to be precisely accurate to the second, you must insert the battery at the exactly the right moment. It would be nice to have a start/stop button for the second hand to aid accurate setting.

A lovely clock.
I agree with all the other positive reviews of this clock. It looks good, is silent and for some reason watching the second hand sweep around without jumps is fascinating, I think it's because we're all used to ticking clocks. So far worth every penny.

Top clock
After having suffered the disappointment of having to return an excellently designed but poorly manufactured item by another brand I decided to go for a brand whose main field was horology. Seiko has a well deserved high reputation in this field so, after researching and looking at Customer feedback I decided on this model. It looks very good and, time will tell, seems to be reliable. It looks the part in my kitchen area and I’m sure will attract positive comments from visitors. So far, having checked this clock against an online reference, it has proved to be pretty accurate with a three to four second gain over eight days.

Very good - quality and looks
A very well made, simple and elegant looking clock. Not too big for a big wall, but perfect for smaller rooms or columns. Looks and feels great!

250mm x 45mm The YELLOW seconds had sweeps like MELTING BUTTER!
The size is stated incorrectly in the description. It is not 300mm dia but 250mm. No matter it's a fine clock. Very architectural / Bauhaus looking - precise and the very best feature is the mesmerising yellow seconds hand that effortlessly SWEEPS round as smooth as butter... it's MESMERISING. Not had it long enough to confirm long term accuracy but most quartz movements are super accurate nowadays. Typically you would never have to correct them only on daylight saving or battery replacement they are so accurate.Recommended for designer type people and engineers who like quality, precision and good clean design. With one of these on your wall you can look down on all the ticking clock people.

Worth the premium price !
I’ve had a few so called ‘silent’ clocks. Some have been better than others , but this is the only one that is truly silent even up close. Also all the others have had the sweeping hand skip or judder at certain times of the movement. This one is perfect.Note it is a smaller size , not the normal 30cm , however that’s what I needed.Yes it is a little pricey compared to others , but it is very much the case ‘you get what you pay for’ here. Nice metal sides and the plastic face cover looks fine.If you want a truly silent clock , this is it.
