my girls at first stared at the beetles then one stepped up and crunched it down grabbed another and the game was in! seven girls all grabbing and crunching or running! my girls like these better than crickets. some like better than black fly larva some still like larva best but they all eat these! seems pricy but it’s a large bag and higher in protein. give em a try.

I thought birds around my bird feeders would love these, but they wouldn’t touch these beetles. They do stink. Luckily my dad has chickens and I gave to him.

The media could not be loaded. Our little buds devour these beetles! We have been looking at a more cost-effective way to provide treats to our flock so we decided to buy beetles, black soldier fly larvae, and mealworms all separately to make our own mix as opposed to buying already packaged combinations. We were able to cut the cost of our treats by more than half by doing this. I would highly recommend these beetles to anyone wanting to bolster their birds nutrition and/or wanting to spoil their buddies.

Horrible smell, which is expected I guess but my chickens refuse to eat them. Not the same type of beetle I was expecting as well, kind of hard to understand what you are getting, not a lot of pictures or descriptions about the type of beetle etc.

My flock won't touch these.They stink horribly.Why even kill these bugs?Threw them to the crows, they said no thanks.Horrible product.

My chickens and geese didn't want anything to do with them. They also smelled bad. I'll stick with black soldier fly larvae and crickets (although crickets are expensive).
