My husband & I use them especially for all day gardening. The arch support is fantastic. We never feel like our feet are tired. There's a tab on the back of the heel that let's you slip them on without bending. The only con is if you wear them in the summer on a sunny day & they are black, they feel too hot so I ordered another lighter colored pair. As far as wear is concerned, I've had mine for 15 years & there still in good shape but my husband's last only 2-3 years as he is hard on his shoes & they are so comfortable that it is worth the expense.

These shoes are surprisingly heavy which suggests the sole will wear well. The weight doesn't drag though - they are very comfortable to wear and easy to slip on and off. Materials are all waterproof so no concerns there. Time will tell how the upper lasts but so far the overall quality has been a pleasant surprise given the extremely competitive price. I look forward to many years of service from these shoes and (based on current experience at least) will have no hesitation in buying more when they eventually wear out. Sizing is good - for half sizes go up - the style works well with a little room.
